About a week ago I went to Wesley Chapel Honda to see about trading in my SUV. I was greeted by a salesman, Dewy, who showed me 2 cars I was interested in. I expressed what I was looking for & what featu about trading in my SUV. I was greeted by a salesman, Dewy, who showed me 2 cars I was interested in. I expressed what I was looking for & what features I wanted. After test driving those 2 vehicles I decided they weren't right for me, but I saw another so we test drove it. It was good, I felt like it drove well. After asking him to have toe numbers run, we spent a few hours going back and forth, the GSM Clay came over and was extremely harsh in his tone and I felt his demeaner was intentionally rough because I am a woman. After he walked away I said I was going to leave and not make a deal, Clay came over again and once again tried to be intimidating towards me, he literally came AT me vs talking to me like a respectful adult. I wasn't having it & asked for my car fob back, I was walking away. Then the salesman had a guy from finance come over to me, Jacob G., he was very nice, extremely pleasant to talk to & to deal with. He knew I wasn't happy with the numbers the GSM had given me so he said he'd try to get me closer to what I wanted. After some time had passed he did. ONLY because of Jacob G did I even make the deal. Just 2 days after leaving the dealership I reached out to the salesman to explain why I was so unhappy with the new vehicle & all he, Dewy, said was "we want to make you happy" followed by "I suggest you give it some time". Another day went by & I reached out to Dewy again with a few cars I wanted to see about trading this one in for, yes already I had had it w the new 2024 Accord. He again said, "we want to make you happy, we could trade you out of the vehicle" and that he'd look into the ones I had sent him. Those, apparently, weren't going to work financially but he never even bothered to suggest any other options. (I know there are plenty of other vehicles on their lot) This entire time Dewy kept saying "we want to make you happy". He also said "give it some time, it'll show it's worth" . To add to the hassle, the car was to come with tinted windows, which apparently I had to return to the dealership to have done, this could have easily been done during the 6 hours I spent at the dealership the first time. Still, I'm left unsatisfied because I feel like I am not getting nearly as many features as my previous car had, nor the ones I specifically said I wanted, I felt I was intentionally mislead about the lack of features this brand new 2024 Accord had due to the fact that I am a woman. It's the salesman's job to explain all of the features the car has & ones it doesn't, especially when you ask for specific ones. It isn't just about the lack of features, although that's a huge issue, the car itself is uncomfortable to sit in for long, something you don't really notice during a 10 min test drive. Dewy's solution?? Oh, he told me to buy a cushion! If you're looking for a Honda, especially if you're a woman, go somewhere else!!!! Now I am stuck with this car & I am NOT happy!! More
