I would like to follow up on my past comments posted a few weeks ago. I have had the pleasure of getting a Mazda 3 grand touring from Ramsey Mazda after being given the run around from Wayne. I got the car I wanted and more from a much more deserving dealership. Junior Ortiz hung up the phone on me a couple weeks ago when I was speaking to him and requested to speak to his manager or the GM of Wayne Mazda. This was also after "Junior" called me back asking if I was coming in to get the car. I was also told by "Junior" that I was STUPID for waiting for him for 30 minutes the night he first told me to come in and pick up my car. I really did not like the service I got from this ORGANIZATION (if they can truly be called an organization.) The disorganization in this place in unbearable. I called for over 2 weeks asking for a manager or the General Manager to get back to me. I know there had to be someone in charge there, but no one got back to me! I am still communicating with the Corporate offices of Mazda, out of California, and am going to be sure to lower the scoring for the #1 Mazda Dealership in the Nation (that was on the recording while I was placed on hold). I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. IF THIS IS HOW SALES IS, I COULD ONLY IMAGING HOW SERVICE IS ALSO. WAYNE MAZDA IS GARBAGE I WOULD GO ALL THE WAY TO RAMSEY ANY DAY TO GET THE BEST SALE FROM THE MOST HUMBLE DEALERSHIP IN NJ! More
In my recent search for a new car, I decided to take a look at the Mazda 3. My husband and I live in northern Bergen County, but Route 17 is such a hassle that we decided to drive over to Wayne Mazda. look at the Mazda 3. When we entered the showroom, the first thing we encountered was a desk with at least four salesmen standing around. None of them ambushed us, however, which was nice, so we were pretty happy at that point. When we finally were approached, it was by the quintessential example of the sleazy, high-pressure car salesman. Yuck. To the manager whose idea of customer service was to make us feel as though we should consider ourselves privileged to be in his dealership...the sales books may tell you to demonstrate that you are in control of the deal right out of the box...but because of you, Ramsey Mazda got the credit for my sale today. I bought 4 cars from Wayne. Last 3 cars I bought from Ash beacuse he is the best sales man I have ever met. He is straight,simple,easy to talk and deal. I dealt with Robert Rago and was extremely happy with him. I purchased my vehicle (2010 CX-7)the beginning of April. Rob was very friendly and courteous from day one. I heard of the dealer through a friend and told me that they had alot of internet specials. I called and a sales person asked me what model i was interested in. I came in knowing I wanted a Mazda 3i touring with the Bose package. I had shopped around to several Mazda dealerships in NJ and PA and knew what I wanted to pay, as well as the current price range. Jerry was very helpful and direct and was able to explain the leasing options for the model I wanted. He is a very pleasant guy, and his manager was also helpful. I got the car i wanted, and they were able to meet the price I wanted to pay. More
I had a great experience at Wayne Mazda. The salesperson Jason D. was friendly and professional. This wasn't your average car buying experience. Everyone treated me like I was part of the family. Any model Mazda you can imagine was available. Bassam the finance manager was also great. He was very knowledgable and explained the financial part of the transaction thoroughly. Overall it was a wonderful buying experience and I would highly recommend them to anyone purchasing a new or used vehicle. More
I am actually in the car-shopping process. I have credit issues and went thru the 'Special Finance' department. They came up with a 22.9% APR. I did not mis-type. Fine- hey I can refinance later, right? BU issues and went thru the 'Special Finance' department. They came up with a 22.9% APR. I did not mis-type. Fine- hey I can refinance later, right? BUT.....they then tell me that they will be charged $3000. from the bank for giving me the loan. I REFUSE to believe that to be true and if it is.....they should NEVER do business with that bank. SO...they said they would have to raise the price of the car $1000. to make back some of that money. At this point I was frustrated with them but still held out some hope to make a deal. I lost my car in the recent flood so I wanted to make a purchase. Then they break down the monthly payments and something smelled. Their numbers (adding NJ sales tax and title and registrations) were significantly higher than what any online calculator INCLUDING THE ONE ON THEIR OWN WEBSITE came out to. (LOL- the finance manager then told me he never goes on their website- LOL.) It turns out that they added a $399. documentation fee AND a $399. BANK INQUIRE FEE. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? So.....to summarize.....(1)the APR was bloated- to say the least- good or bad credit notwithstanding.....(2)they hiked the price of the vehicle saying the bank charges them thousands for getting a customer a loan and .....(3) they added nonsense fees including a fee for CALLING THE BANK to inquire about a loan. Draw your own conclusions. Note that the price -the ORIGINAL price- of the vehicle was quite fair and I have not yet purchased- still shopping- but they had better stop playing nasty with these bogus fees if they stand to earn my business or get a POSITIVE referral from me. The dealership building and the amount of cars is quite impressive, besides that probably nothing alse is. I did my research and knew how much I could pay for the car, and I don't think what I was asking was rediculous. I knew that I could go up to $1000 below the invoice price and still get the 0% financing. They claimed I couldn't. They said that their price was way off from mine and that they wouldn't budge. I asked for a breakdown of the car cost as well as the fees and taxes probably twice to fully understand why the car price is more than $2000 higher than what we were quoted at a different dealer, but they kept changing the subject. They took my credit card when they apparently went to the regional manager for approval of what I offered , which they forgot to give back to me, I had to cancel the card which was a hassle. They accused the other dealership of lying and we were certain that we would be back. Well that wasn't the case. More
