I am sad to write this review since I was so excited to receive an excellent auto purchase quote from the Union Plus/True Car website. I spoke with ASHLEY in sales and she told me the vehicle was availabl receive an excellent auto purchase quote from the Union Plus/True Car website. I spoke with ASHLEY in sales and she told me the vehicle was available and would check to confirm price & would call me back. I waited a few HOURS & called her back which at that point she passed me off to AJ (2nd clue) I gave him all information and he said he would get back to me. I also requested a copy of window sticker via email (never received). I called AJ back & he said he was working with another customer and waiting for his manager JAY to get back to him. I asked to speak with his manager and was put on hold & then disconnected (another clue?). I called back and AJ said JAY would get back to me. AJ did call back to see if his manager had reached out to me - NO! and said he would check on it. No call backs, no sale & no honoring the price they are advertising with truecar.com This seems to be just another dealership that plays the game. More
Their service department is a reason to use this dealership I've purchased 2 cars from Wayne Hyundai and walked out 3 times so I have a so so opinion of the dealership but their service department (at Wayne Maz I've purchased 2 cars from Wayne Hyundai and walked out 3 times so I have a so so opinion of the dealership but their service department (at Wayne Mazda) is very good both for warranty and general scheduled maintenance. I've also purchased from Lynnes Hyundai, best overall purchase experience, and Towne Hyundai, best selection of new cars but they are horrible with paperwork. This time I stayed with W-H because they had the best car at the best advertised price I needed for a used vehicle. As with any dealership, they promise the world by saying " I'll SEE if I can do that price with the certification fee included" that is all bullsh.t but with Hyundai's 6 year 60,000 mile original warranty, the cert warranty is really a waste of money. Also check you bill of sale after the mgr gets done with it because they try to jack the price up to the sticker price, not the internet price. I caught them 2X during this transaction which added at least an hour to an excruciating 3 hour experience. His excuse was, I thought you wanted the cert warranty...at 1.5 times the price he offered the "discounted price at". Do your homework with your trade in because they will value your vehicle based on the base model only then try to lowball you and the same with the financing although their rates were pretty good compared to what I was able to get so it was just easier having them do the paperwork. So in the end they are no different than any other dealership, Do your homework, verify their paperwork and dont get sucked into the smoke and mirrors game they play. If you have to walk out. They will call you in a day to get you to come back. More
Mislead by Salesman If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. I visited this dealership on July 31st with my father to lease my first car: the 2020 Kona. My sale If I could give this dealership 0 stars I would. I visited this dealership on July 31st with my father to lease my first car: the 2020 Kona. My salesman’s name was Zach and we agreed on a monthly payment of $219 a month with $2,000 down with my $1,500 trade in with my dad co-signing with me. I gave them my credit score, which I had just checked and it was in the good-excellent range. I was in the thick of the deal: they even called my insurance company so I could put the car under my policy. I was on the phone with my insurance company for over an hour and 15 minutes. Finally, the insurance was changed, my old car was traded in and at 9:45pm I finally think we’re going to sign the papers and get out of there with my first car! The manager pulls us into his office and tells us that our credit scores are not in the right “tier” and the monthly payment is going to increase a bit. I asked how much and suddenly our agreed price of $219 increased to $245! Being a graduate student and working full time as a special needs teacher’s aide, that monthly price is not in my budget. They completely played a game with me and I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience here. After having to wait in the parking lot at 10:30 at night trying to change my insurance back so I can drive my old car home, I left that dealership feeling duped and disappointed. I won’t be giving this business any of my money. More
They didn't surprise me People don't buy Hyundai cars not because cars are bad, but because Hyundai dealers are dishonest. Don't bother to chat online and negotiate because they don't honor. Artiles (forgot his first name, who cares?) gave me a quote. At the dealership, Yanal said the price is impossible and offered me ZERO DOLLARS for my trade-in, VW Alltrack. Carvana pays much more. My conclusion: Online sales guy mindlessly throws a random number to lure customers. You drive 30 mins and at the dealership, they rip you off. It's the 21st century, but the most, if not all, low-end dealers are still in the 1980s. A typical car shopping nightmare story. Wish Tesla takes over the entire auto industry. Be careful many employees are not wearing masks. Yeah, they didn't surprise me at all. More
I worked with Adam on purchasing a 2017 Hyundai Elantra. He did a very good job of explaining the features of the car. His manager I felt tried to ruin the deal. He had a “couldn’t be bothered attitude”. He He did a very good job of explaining the features of the car. His manager I felt tried to ruin the deal. He had a “couldn’t be bothered attitude”. He kept trying to put the price on the moon. I did my homework before and felt like I got a really good deal. Adam is an excellent salesman and will be going back if I ever need another car. I have told all my friends and family about my overall good experience. More
Incompetent staff Shopped for a Hyundai for a couple of months. Passed over Wayne Hyundai because of rude sales people. Once my name was out there multiple sales peop Shopped for a Hyundai for a couple of months. Passed over Wayne Hyundai because of rude sales people. Once my name was out there multiple sales people from the dealership pestered me non stop despite my requests they allow me to reach out to them. Purchased my car at Towne Hyundai in Denville....excellent experience !!!! Fast forward...having trouble getting in for my Kona's 5000 mile service due to my busy schedule. Co-worker suggests Wayne Hyundai as it is less than 4 miles from the office. Talks me into it despite my reservations due to sales department. Schedule my appointment, ask if I will still receive free service as my vehicle is a 2020 but not purchased there. Assured by a person named Desirea or Deidre I am covered. Trouble locating the service department as it is not at the dealership site. Google the address...still having trouble as the giant sign says Mazda....miss the first turn and end up in an adjoining lot. Walk to service...meet the Desirea or Deidre person. Explain my parking dilemma. She stares at me and says you cant use our cut through...drive 23 N then turn around for 23 South and then come back up 23 North, (This will take me at least 15 minutes, she stares off into space and dismisses me.) I go outside, ignore the ignorance and use the cut through. Drive to the garage, no one available to tell me what to do, where to register. I get out of my car and find a competent man who has me drive my car in and go back to the office with my registration paper he handed me. I stand on line for 15 minutes, no acknowledgement from counter people despite customers having left. A simple hello, be right with you would have been nice. Finally get to the counter, another competent man assists me. Five minutes into the conversation I am told I will have to pay for the 5000 mile service because I did not purchase my car there. I explain I was told it was covered, he apologizes for the "misunderstanding". I request a card for the manger and receive a card for Nick DiPiano. I leave, call Town Hyundai and schedule for next week. Now I reach out to Nick to let him know about the poor service I received. Girls answering the phone want to know why I want to speak with him, it takes two calls and 10 minutes on hold and I finally am put through to Nick, I ask for his last name and he tells me "We don't give out our last names". This seems ridiculous as I have a business card with his full name. I assume this is just someone the girls passed me on to rather than the manager. I call back and get Nick again, I ask for his last name and he says he has no idea who I am, I identify myself and ask why his full name is on his business card handed to me at the desk. He finally identifies himself. I explain the situation, everything from the Mazda sign rather than Hyundai to using the cut through just to find out I would be required to pay for the service I was told were free. Turns out it was ! Again with the apologies..the staff doesn't know about the free service as it has only been in place since February, FEBRUARY...IT IS NOW JULY !!!! When might the staff be told about this ????? Nick now sees how stupid this all is...how stupid his no last name rule and incompetent staff are. He offers me pick up/drop off service along with a loaner car. I refused it all, I wouldn't trust these people with my new car. To top it off Nick shares some info with me....he is trying to get this dealership back in order since the pandemic...one of the staff who's name he shared with me has already been replaced, the replacement is being trained and then "the body we kept because we need someone to sit at the desk" will be fired. WOW...I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I WANTED THE NO STAR OPTION BUT THAT DOES NOT EXIST. More
I reached out to Wayne Hyundai a few weeks ago and received a response from a sales person. I tried following up via chat, email, and phone, and was essentially ignored. I made an appointment for 3:30 received a response from a sales person. I tried following up via chat, email, and phone, and was essentially ignored. I made an appointment for 3:30 PM today and waited around but there were two sales people for a room full of customers. At 4:10 PM I left after being ignored for forty minutes with no sign of assistance anytime soon. What a disappointment. More
