Be-careful of the service I took my truck to pepboys because i needed a oil change and was having trouble with it starting, they checked my truck and found that the security se I took my truck to pepboys because i needed a oil change and was having trouble with it starting, they checked my truck and found that the security sensor was the problem when the light go's out the truck started just fine and it did they said that i needed to go to a ford dealer to check my keys are the code but a ford dealer had to do that so i went to Wayne Akers an told them what was going on they took my truck to the service area and after that it wouldn't even run they changed parts on it saying that was the problem i had to get a tow truck to get my truck home they said they didn't know whats going but the truck ran fine when i took it there i just had to crank it twice then it start and run great know after they got done it wont even run be-careful if you go for service there i will never go back there i just hope what ever they did i can get it running again More

After they ran diagnostics and that was the problem and it needed brakes which I also knew. It was $1169 to do everything...not cheap. When I got in my truck and drove away, and it was bogging down like crazy (barely able to climb a hill) and I live in South FL. The truck had never done this and wasn’t doing it before with the misfire. I couldn’t believe they gave it back to me the way they did, and they had “the best, most experienced tech do the work.” So I took it back and after another day of diagnostics they found a knock in the engine...not good. Not super uncommon but how do you miss that? And why wasn’t it having the issue before you fixed the spark plugs? There is no way I would have put $1169 into the truck had I known there was a knock. I would have traded it right away as is and got what money I could out of it since I still owed $8200 on the truck. They didn’t offer me any money back for a MAJOR problem they missed...and they low balled me on a trade in ($3000 for my truck). Mike’s customer service through this was great but I will not take another vehicle there much less buy a vehicle from them. So as the title says, be cautious IF you are gonna go there. More

Next morning the service manager Dawn Saraceno called and told me that they are very busy and will look at the car in the afternoon. Got there in person by 11am and the car was already in the shop, looked at, but scheduled for repair next day. Dawn is an outstanding Service Advisor I have not seen many like her even at luxury cars dealerships- prompt reply, good work ethics, straight answers. On top of that she is technically very good. She explained me in detail the diagnosis and the repair cost I should pay. Dealership management should promote her. Service dept looks short on technicians working on cars while others stay idle after the morning rush. More

Got a call late afternoon that they couldn't even look at it until the following day. I called and complained to the service mgr Melvin Hanford, who didn't even bother to return my call. Got it back finally today, late afternoon. My service tech Steve Waters said that the call center has no idea that they are short on techs. I went to Wayne Akers because Al Packer West ripped my daughter off a year ago. Wayne Akers did fix the problem, but just make sure they can actually stick to the scheduled appt time. It really messed up my schedule to be without a car for 2 days! More
Great experience Had both of my Ford's in for general service and new tires. Was treated well and the waiting rooms are great. Bad service Several months back my 05 F150 started running rough and I took it to another dealer for service. My plugs were changed (at 130,000 miles) along with Several months back my 05 F150 started running rough and I took it to another dealer for service. My plugs were changed (at 130,000 miles) along with boots and 1 coil pack. Last week I started to experience the same symptoms, running rough. Since I work in Lake Worth I took it to Wayne Akers and explained what had happened before expecting another coil to have gone bad. Now there is 155,000 miles on the vehicle. I was called a couple of hours later and told my entire engine was shot, a thrasher washer on the crank was damaged and "slipping back and forth" blocking oil ports and oil from reaching the top of the motor. I told the service writer I would come and pick up my truck. Once there I was greeted by a rather angry and belligerent service writer apparently with a "need to be right" complex rather than listen to a customer. The "technician" also appeared with my truck and explained they don't fix this issue because of the miles on the vehicle, only replacement was offered. At $8100...... He also explained the "thrasher washer" was in the center of the block. I had looked it up the night before and know it to be in the front of the crank. None the less I babied my truck up to Stuart to Advantage Ford, where I had experienced terrific service prior and dropped it off at about 7pm. The next morning at about 9am I received a call from the technician at Advantage telling me there was nothing at all "wrong" with my engine other than a several lack of oil, had anyone at the other dealership bothered to check the oil level? It was due for a change so of course I had it drained and replace and now for a week my truck runs like it always had.....perfect. Having never experienced this truck "loosing" oil in between servicing I can't imagine where it all went. I only had 4500 miles since its last change. The truck does not burn oil nor are there any leaks. There is however a service bulletin on this issue of the thrasher washer which in all honesty should be covered by Ford, but that's another story. This engine is fine! I will never recommend nor bring my own vehicle to this dealership for service of any kind. More
Regretting Wayne Akers Vehicle brought in for body work. Kept vehicle for 42 days on an 11 day estimate . Had to return, work was improperly done had it for 3 more weeks. No communication from Wayne Akers. Unfulfilled promised rental car reimbursement. No response from emails, phone calls or letters Uncaring and unprofessional.
