They sell junk vehicles. they claim to inspect vehicles but after purchasing my cargo van I had to take it back to them they said it was fine then having to take it to a shop and have 1125 dollars worth of but after purchasing my cargo van I had to take it back to them they said it was fine then having to take it to a shop and have 1125 dollars worth of work done to the front suspension. then the salesman had nerve to call me the next day ask me how everything. went . buyer beware. I expected better buying a ford product from a ford dealership. Shame on wayne akers ford for taking peoples money and giving them nothing but garbage in return. I would never tell anyone to buy from them. More
I purchased my new Ford Escape (A 2011 XLT) that was on the lot still classified as new since it was never titled. Searched and did alot of homework on the Escape before visiting WA Ford. Was greeted immed the lot still classified as new since it was never titled. Searched and did alot of homework on the Escape before visiting WA Ford. Was greeted immediately and warmly by Jeff Leed and shortly was on a test drive which sold the car. Be aware during the finance/paperwork fun that when they explain your payment etc that they include the cost of gap insurance and extended warranty. I turned down the EW and payment went down $50/mo. Of course its your choice if you want the EW or not. Just sayin. Penny was great explaining the very cool SYNC system in my Escape. Would recommend anyone wanting a new or used Ford to go see the nice folks at Wayne Akers. Love my new car. More
After fleecing us for $1000 to fix a couple sensors, they screwed up the milaege screen in process. The screen was perfect until we brought it to them, and not working when we picked it up.(pretty simple yo screwed up the milaege screen in process. The screen was perfect until we brought it to them, and not working when we picked it up.(pretty simple you'd think) After bringing it back for them to 'look' at, they offered to replace the unit for $600! They refused to do anything about their screw up.....of course "it wasn't their fault"...."they didn't touch it." I told them, if I ran my business that way, I'd be out of business. Just wish we had found this review board before throwing away good money. More
Brought my 2006 Ford Explorer into Wayne Akers Ford for a loud ticking noise coming from my engine at start up. It would last about a minute and then go away. I am the original owner so I know my truck very loud ticking noise coming from my engine at start up. It would last about a minute and then go away. I am the original owner so I know my truck very well and this ticking noise was not normal. To me it sounded like an exhaust leak as they will make quite a bit of noise and then go away as the engine heats up. After keeping the truck for a day and a half both the technician and service advisor told me it is a normal noise and that there was nothing wrong with the truck. I was not happy with this answer so I called Ford Corporate to elevate the situation and try and get help from them. The initial represenative was very polite and understanding and said he needs to contact the dealer to get all the details. I received a call from a different representative at Ford Corporate a few hours later and he actually scolded me for getting corporate involved and that I should listen to the dealer. I could not belive what I was hearing as I knew the ticking noise was not normal! I held my tongue though and told myself to live with the noise a few more months and address it later. After about 6 months I took the truck to Pompano Ford to have it looked at again as the ticking noise was driving me nuts. They diagnosed it immediatey as a cracked manifold and are changing it out under my extended warranty! I will never take another vehicle to Wayne Akers for anything at all! It came down to them simply not wanting to fix the issue as it is not an easy repair! What a way to treat a customer! More
This dealership rips you off on cars & their prices are ridiculously high!. They had a 2006 subaru tribeca b9 with 54k miles & they are asking 20k & that doesn't even include sales tax. I was sold a 2010 ford fusion. It was a dealer special. It had 33,000 miles. I was told by the salesman that it had never been titled. I was told it was a saleman demo. After purchase I was given only 3000 It had 33,000 miles. I was told by the salesman that it had never been titled. I was told it was a saleman demo. After purchase I was given only 3000 mile waranty. I questioned this because if they were selling this car as "new", (never been titled), I wanted the full 36,000 miles. four days after purchase I was told by the salesman (mr.Brown) that the car was in fact a preowned car. Then he told me it was owned by Enterprize rental car. They sold me a rental car that was supposed to be a sales demo. I was outraged. The sales manager(Rick Kennady) offered me a longer waranty, but the damage was already done. I returned the car and was able to get my car back. More
It started when I sent an Internet request for more information, I had a response within 15 minutes and I received the information I was looking for. I received a call immeditly and set an appointment, information, I had a response within 15 minutes and I received the information I was looking for. I received a call immeditly and set an appointment, I showed up and meet with Rick Kennedy and he had the vehicle pulled up and ready to drive. I was in and out within 1 hour. That has never happened before Wayne Akers understands how I want to buy! Thanks for the GREAT EXPERIENCE More
Found an F150 online in the trim I was looking for with a Found an F150 online in the trim I was looking for with a good price. I traveled over a hour to purchase it. The finance manager was cool, the prob Found an F150 online in the trim I was looking for with a good price. I traveled over a hour to purchase it. The finance manager was cool, the problem was with the sales lady, Erika K. As I was taking delivery of the vehicle, they could not locate the OEM manual and the sync system manual. Also contained in the manual booklet is the card with the pin code for the keyless entry. So I left without knowing it. Erika K told me to call back in a few days and they would call a dealer closer to me and set up an appointment to get the key pad re-set, and they would also find me a set of manuals. I called 5 TIMES ! And every time I got the same response ''I'm Gonna Look up the deal and call you back'' Calls never returned, but they surely were returned proir to purchase. I figured after multiple phones calls I'd finally e-mail the sales manager, never got a response. I realize it's just a few manuals, I am not a petty person. But it's the principle and I paid 30+k for a truck and cannot even use the keyless pad to get in. The helpfulness rapidly dwindled after the paperwork was signed. Pretty crappy if you ask me. More

Brought in my truck for service on a recalled item, while I was there I asked to have a drivers side mirror replaced, the price with labor was never disclosed prior to work being done. I had called ahead abo I was there I asked to have a drivers side mirror replaced, the price with labor was never disclosed prior to work being done. I had called ahead about the cost and they quoted me a price and then changed it when I said someone else quoted me a lower price. I believed the price to include labor (because when I called a parts store it was $20 and at Wayne Akers it was $40). When I questioned the price he basically said I should have known there would be a labor charge (As I was checking out, I was told that the work was quite difficult to replace the mirror and that's why it cost $40 for labor). Customer service called inquiring about my experience, when I explained that I had a poor experience, she said a manager would call me and she would "handle it". I never received a call back. The next day I called to inform someone that the mirror they replaced had fallen out because it was not installed correctly (one of the clips was bent over and not even in the hole), the same service agent said the mgr had been on vacation that's why he didn't call me back and that she would have him call me back, I'm still waiting for that call.
