The service at Wantagh Mazda is the best service of any dealer that I have dealt with, and I have dealt with many. I needed an extra key made for my 2000 MPV. I was getting desperate because my daughter dealer that I have dealt with, and I have dealt with many. I needed an extra key made for my 2000 MPV. I was getting desperate because my daughter unexpectedly got a job (her first) in another state and she needed the car, but I had only one key. Another Mazda dealer could not make a new key for my car and informed me that it would be a long and costly process to resolve the problem. I found Wantagh Mazda by reading the reviews on dealerrater.com. I was able to bring the car in the next day. There were some issues in making the new key, BUT they solved them at a very reasonable cost and in very little time. The service people at Wantagh Mazda are real Mazda nerds and can come up with imaginative solutions to car problems. More
I bough my Mazda a few years ago at a a differnt dealership, but when it needed some work I checked this site and found this dealer rated better than most on service. Well...after an intial probelm getting an appointment, this dealer turned out to be very exceptional. I wish I had some names, but I made my appointments over the phone (The car had a few problems, that required two seperate visits and a part order that I will not bore you with, but I assure you were not mechancial in the true sense of the word)and I dropped off and picked-up my car after the service department was closed. In both service cases I was quoted an exact price that were very reasonable. The service department actually called me when my car was ready. At any other dealer I have had to call, sometimes several times to get a status, I even had a delaer close for the day without calling me back. So maybe this dealer just looks better compared to my experience with others? Some of the other ittle touches that to me matter are - one problem was battery / electrical related and the dealer took the time to re-set the clock and update my satilliate radio. The first time I picked-up the car the salesmen helped me because service was closed. Friendly as can be, and when I asked about the detailed service sheet (somehow it was not with the papaerwork) he said no problem and I received the next day in the mail. I will continue to bring my Miata here for all schedule maintenance and any other service I need. More
I called the service department for an oil change appointment and was able to bring my Tribute down that very day! The price was reasonable, the service was fast and Jim was very helpful. My Tribute was purchased here as a used vehicle with an extended warranty. I recently had a mechanical issue and needed to bring the vehicle in for service. I was given an appointment promptly and the wo extended warranty. I recently had a mechanical issue and needed to bring the vehicle in for service. I was given an appointment promptly and the work was completed quickly and satisfactorily. To my surprise and great relief all the work was covered under the extended warrantee. I'm really glad the salesperson suggested (without any pressure) taking the extended warrantee. I have always been treated courteously by all of Wantagh Mazda's personnel. More

Vin took the time to hear me out, and went out of his way to turn my experience with Wantagh Mazda Service Dep Sales Manager at Wantagh Mazda (Vin). So if you have any problems at this location, I advise you to contact Vin and you will also walk away satisfied! More
2005 Mazda 6 was diagnosed with a bad catalytic converter. I was advised to bring it to a dealer since this would be covered under Federal Law. The dealership, particularly Jim and Keith were bot converter. I was advised to bring it to a dealer since this would be covered under Federal Law. The dealership, particularly Jim and Keith were both rude and nasty. They wanted to charge for a diagnosis. When I tried to tell them that the Federal clearly states that no charges should be incurred for replacing this part as per the law they clearly let me know that they were not interested in the law, nor were they interested in doing what the dealership was required to do. I left there with a very uneasy feeling about this dealership and would NOT recommend them to anyone who is interested in buying a Mazda. They clearly are only interested in making money and not standing behind their product. Customer service in non-existent at this dealership. More
