I purchased the 2008 Fusion so that I could sell my 2004 Saturn to my nephew after his car was unable to be repaired. We had first looked for a used car for him, however used car prices are very high and h Saturn to my nephew after his car was unable to be repaired. Since this purchase was not planned for I did not spend alot of time looking for a car. I did research with consumer reports and had narrowed down my choices to a Ford Fusion or Focus, a Honda Civic or a Toyota Camry. I chose Walt Sweeney as it is close to my house and would be convenient for service. I met Phil Seymour originally when I was looking with my nephew and I liked him. Ultimately I purchased the 2008 Fusion as it was the only real choice I had for a used car, it still had some warranty on it and it was in good condition. Later I wish I would have considered looking at a new car and compared the financing, at the time I didn't think I could afford a new car and did not ask. So far I like the car fine and hope it lasts as long as my Saturn did. More

Although my point of contact was mostly John Sweeney, all employees at the dealership were helpful and courteous. John was very informative on all aspects of my purchase from Ford history, the recent recess employees at the dealership were helpful and courteous. John was very informative on all aspects of my purchase from Ford history, the recent recession and Ford's approach to it, R&D, and the vehicle itself. I’ve always felt like car dealers were not honest, and I feel like we’ve learned our lesson here. After we had our credit checked, we were told that the loan would be 3% APR and that our payments would be feel like we’ve learned our lesson here. After we had our credit checked, we were told that the loan would be 3% APR and that our payments would be between $405 and $415, depending on what options were on the car that they could find for us (They did not have the car we wanted in stock) When we were signing the papers, it ended up being 4.6% and our payments are now $428. When we asked our sales person why our loan was not 3% like he told us, he said that he didn’t know anything about that so he sent us to finance who said "Who told you that? They don’t know what the APR will be until a bank agrees to buy the loan". I feel like we were lied to. Our payments were higher even after they supposedly subtracted a discount we were supposed to get. There was no communication between the sales person and finance person. I will not buy another car from this dealer. I love the car, so I would buy a Ford again, but not from Walt Sweeny. We actually looked at an Escape several years ago at Walt Sweeny, but left because the sales person made us feel uncomfortable. Seems like they are all about selling the car, but don’t know enough about the car to answer your questions. More
