When my fiance and I walked through the door of Walser we were greeted by the General Manager and he saw to it that we got assistance immediately and he put us in touch with Megan McDonough. Megan was personable, helpful, very down to earth and never pushy. She spent the next couple hours working with us until we thought we found "the one". When we changed our minds at the last minute and decided we wanted to come back on Monday and look at a few more options she didn't even bat an eye. She said she would meet us there as early as we wanted and it was HER DAY OFF! Her dedication to excellence was apparent because she wasn't willing to stop until we found the right fit. She worked with us again on Monday from 8:30am-3pm and never complained. We felt very taken care of. Once we purchased the vehicle they gave it a wash and it wasn't until then that we noticed a touch of rust near the wheel well. Megan made sure to alert management and they even offered to touch up that area for me at no cost. Mad props to Mark Rubey too as he gave us some great advice! Overall, we love the car and felt as though Walser and their staff knew how to make two first time car buyers feel comfortable and respected. I didn't think it would be even remotely possible to get into a Rav4 but from financing to the appraisal I knew that the people working on the deal were going to be fair to me and to the business. Overall our experience with this dealership was quite good. From a customer service/price standpoint we were a bit dismayed to learn of needing to purchase floor mats (not standard equipment anymore?) and the already installed "door edge guard" that was far too expensive for what appears to be minimal protection; so right off the bat we were into adding $300.00 to the cost of the vehicle! The sales staff could not have been any friendlier - "Spike" was great to work with as was Mary who answered our questions and assisted us as well; both are superb and genuine people. Lastly, the product itself (2011 RAV 4) is everything I hoped for in a new vehicle of this type - it is solid, responsive, and attractive. We look forward to the next 36k miles of riding enjoyment! I have invested a lot more time looking for this last car then I usually do when purchasing one. Withis several weeks of searching I had seen all sorts of cars, salesmen and prices. Walser dealership had a good selection of cars and their prices seemed reasonable. My wife and I were in the show room looking at cars when we were approached by a salesman. He introduced himself. His name was Joel Bittner and asked what he could help us with. To make a long story short, within a couple hours we tested, selected, bought and drove our newest car home. Walser had a good selection for our purpose, the prices were good for what we were shopping for and best of all, albeit I was very particular Joel's patient and eager "At your service!" attitude, made this the easiest and the most pleasant shopping experience I have ever had while purchasing a car. Joel pushed nothing, presented all options, brought in what we wanted to test out and had even arranged three different` colored vehicles under a light (this was an evening expedition) so I could decide on the color. Yes, I would most certainly recommend Joel and Walser Toyota. Walser will be the first place I will return to for my future automotive needs and Joel the salesman I would look for in particular. Actually buying the car was quick and painless and I even got a good enough deal to fit an extended warranty into my budget. I would strongly recommend, especially female buyers, ask to work with Megan when shopping at Walser Toyota. I wouldn't have spent my hard earned money there if I hadn't felt so comfortable with her. I did take my new car to a trusted mechanic and found out that my spark plugs needed to be replaced immediately even though they were marked as acceptable by the dealership service department. I also just replaced the original battery, which I was told had been done by the service department prior to buying the vehicle. I would suggest getting a second opinion on the condition of any used vehicle from Walser Toyota. I was disappointed with having to immediately make repairs I was told had been recently completed. I'm just glad they weren't major and guess that buying any used car comes with a certain amount of risk. More
