Parts Department I recently had to replace my 5.3 LS engine in my 2008 Suburban. A task I have never done before and still decided to tackle the job on my own. Eac I recently had to replace my 5.3 LS engine in my 2008 Suburban. A task I have never done before and still decided to tackle the job on my own. Each time I came to the parts department, Nick was able to give me what I needed with expert advice on how to install or continue on the process of replacing this engine. On my last trip in, I needed to understand the wiring for the oil pressure sensor. Nick and I were discussing the situation and my mistake that caused me to have to replace it. When John, Service Mechanic over heard us talking. John understood my situation and took me into service area where he went online and found the wiring schematics. He printed a couple sheets for me, explained in detail what I needed to do and sent me on my way. It is this type of service by Nick and John that will keep me coming back when I need parts. But more importantly, at a time when I have lost confidence in Chevrolet due to the 5.3 LS engine is known to have issues around 150,000 miles, it is great to have knowledgeable and customer focused folks at your local dealership.
