Above and beyond customer service We found our truck online and my wife contacted Polar Chevrolet for more info. She was 'assigned' Shelley Karas as her salesperson to talk to. Shelly went way above and beyond to deal with my wife on the phone through both text messages and phone calls. She even worked with us on her 'day off' from work! I was very impressed at her genuine concern with making sure we got what we were looking for, and that we were treated fairly. We are very, VERY happy with our 'new' 2011 Chevrolet HD2500. The deal was mostly made on the phone "sight unseen" and we had to trust her that she was being truthful and honest with us. We can't be any happier with our new truck. Highly recommended!! More

Service rep at counter made 'me' to be the pita for troubling them for such a non-vehicle matter... "that kind of electronics doesn't belong in a car anyway". 3. Unable to 'have' a normal conversation w/ service rep at counter because entire lobby wreaks of cigarette smoke, intense coming directly from rep's mouth... disgusting. 4. 360 inspection of car during oil change passed w/ flying colors, on the way home- all screws holding front ground spoiler "fell out" and spoiler sanded down from pavement driving that way. 5. Previous oil change, individual that returns car to pickup area drove car aggressively enough to toss 2 heavy tool bags around in trunk, completely emptying out both bags, tools and supplies strewn all over. I'll add a star for having coffee in the break room. More
Good dealer. Just bought a new Mazda 3 from there. A bit pushy when they know you want to buy or they don't have a firm hold on you. They try to work out the best deal. When I showed up, the man I had emailed with about coming was gone. I had apparently been handed off to someone else, who turned out to be Bob. Once the person I initially talked to finally tracked Bob down, was gone. I had apparently been handed off to someone else, who turned out to be Bob. Once the person I initially talked to finally tracked Bob down, he said he knew which car and he'd grab the keys and pull it up. I'm not exactly sure how long that took, but it felt like about 10 minutes. Which felt like too long to me to grab some keys and get the car, their lot isn't huge. Bob did just hand me the keys and tell me I could take it out, which I appreciated. I don't even drive cars crazily or anything when the salesperson isn't in it, I just find it much easier to focus on the ride and handling and overall experience if the salesperson isn't talking to me the whole time. After I got back, I parked the car in the lot and was checking out the MyLink entertainment system, which was awesome, and the storage compartments and back seat and such. Bob saw me, came out, and said he needed a half hour for some other customers. I said sure. Fiddled with the car some more, went into the lobby, and waited 35 minutes before leaving. Bob called later and offered a half hearted apology. Oh, and the ONE THING I needed to know I found out from a detailed reading of the window sticker during my half hour of waiting time. Had Bob sat down and talked to me for 5 minutes about what I was looking for before the test drive, I could have saved us both some time and not even gone out. Would. Not. Recommend. More
If there was a higher option than 5 stars, Chuck Larsen and Polar Chev/Mazda would have earned it! I could not be happier with our experience. Purchased a vehicle at 124,000 and transmission seized at 126,000. Service department tried to charge me $3,400 for the repairs on a $6,000 car. Service manager refused to let me speak to manager. After dema 126,000. Service department tried to charge me $3,400 for the repairs on a $6,000 car. Service manager refused to let me speak to manager. After demanding to speak to one i gave up and left. I returned almost 2 weeks later after they finally did the repairs with cash in hand. When they increased the price and told me there was no warranty on the repair i again demanded to speak to a manager. After almost a hour they finally admitted he was there. After finding his office he was very polite but did not want to pay for anything. After a lengthy conversation they did agree to partially pay for the repairs. The fact remains they were rude and should have covered at least a portion of the repair right off the bat. Instead the arrogant service department manager would not even pay for the tow into the shop. If it wasn't for the friendly and helpful sales and management staff all ratings would be 1. I recently discovered they also did not replace the rubber boot on my brake caliper guide pin and the pin has rusted shut and I had been stopping with one brake pad since I purchased it. Now i have to get new caliper brackets, guide pins, pads and rotors for the rear. Over $250 to do myself of about $600 at a shop More

I think this was one of the best car sales experiences I have ever had. I have been buying GM products for 32 years and have met many high pressure sales people. Cindy was very friendly, gracious and never pushed at all. She went out of her way to make sure my questions were answered and made me feel at ease! So many dealers push push and then push the warranties and extras to a point where it turns people off. Not polar. They tell you stuff is available but don't bury you in offers. I had a dealer once push the extended warranty so hard that I asked them if they had any faith in their product!!! The service crew did a great job cleaning and prep'ing the car before we took it home. The followup has been great as well. They don't forget you after you walk out the door. Great job Polar! More
