Extremely Dishonest Please avoid this dealership. I would leave it zero stars if I had the ability to do so. I have leased and purchase several cars over the past ten years, and Wallace is the most dishonest and manipulative dealership I have ever dealt with. My girlfriend, who went through the experience described below with me, agrees. After spending a very long time negotiating a deal on the phone, Bryan Leone, one of Wallace's sales managers, offered to sell us a 2019 Tucson. He refused to send the terms we agreed to in writing, claiming that we would use his quote to get a lower price from another dealer. Given his unwillingness to do this, I painstakingly verified the terms we had agreed to--TWICE--before driving over an hour to the Wallace dealership. He emphasized that his general manager, Amir, had approved our deal. "Because we're a volume dealer," he kept claiming, they were willing to give us a "great deal." He then pushed me to put down a $1500 deposit to reserve the vehicle. When we arrived, Wallace did not even have the 2019 Tucson in stock that he had attempted to get us to make a deposit on. They had apparently sold their last one the PREVIOUS day, even though Bryan had made "the deal" with me that afternoon. After claiming they could give us a similar deal on a 2020 Tucson, they attempted to sell us the vehicle for nearly $3000 more than what we said we had wanted to pay on the phone. Bryan had also told us they would waive the excess mileage fees on our existing Hyundai lease if we purchased a vehicle from Wallace. At the store, however, the sales team claimed they had no ability to do this. When I spoke to the manager of the store who was working when we arrived, Benjamin, he acknowledge that Bryan had lied to us, yet he persisted in his effort to sell us the 2020 Tucson anyway. After my girlfriend left--she is a public school teacher who wasted four hours of her time on Wallace's dishonesty--one of the sales associates we spoke with, Adam, sent her multiple text messages claiming that she needed to get "real," because they were giving her a fantastic deal. He then made fun of her when she replied that they had lied to us, and that we planned to purchase a vehicle at CarMax instead. In short, please DO NOT patronize this dealership. If you do, make sure you get the offer you seek in writing beforehand. It is common knowledge that car dealerships propagate misleading advertisements to get people in the door. Wallace, however, is the only dealership I have dealt with that outright lies to and harasses customers in effort to make sales. More

I went online and saw a Mustang I liked that I decided I wanted to inquire about. I did the usual auto-reply thing on their website. I got a call from Philip LoPresti not too much longer after. He was nice and got straight to the point. I told him I’d like to go through with getting as close as we can with a sale over email before I drive an hour and a half to Wallace Hyundai of Stuart. He said "Sure! I’ll get your info over to a manager and he’ll be in touch." Great right? An hour or two later, Ben from the dealership calls me and basically tells me that I have to come in for a for a trade in value. I explicitly explained that I don’t want to go all the way there just to have my time wasted. He said me "You will not, I promise. I make the best deals happen” and I “would get, at the very minimum, KBB value.” He was very pushy on the phone, but I was okay with driving to the dealership after work (because, based on his confidence about making great deals and ensuring me I would get at least KBB value, I was led to believe we would reach a deal.) After an hour and a half drive, I arrived at Hyundai Wallace of Stuart and walked around the lot looking for the Mustang. Phil ended up coming out and walking around the lot with me. We couldn’t find the car- he had no idea where it went. He left for a minute to go inside and find out where it went. He was gone for about 15-20 minutes and I walked through the lot myself to see if we missed the car. After waiting for so long outside, I went inside the dealership because it was so hot out. Lots of employees were just standing around, especially behind the finance desk. Phil looked lost and confused, and didn’t seem to be receiving help from the other employees. A little bit later, he told me the car was out on a demo at the other dealership, even though I could read the finance guy’s lips saying "it’s at Nissan". I told Phil that I’d just wait for the car, and then we went back into his office and discussed normal stuff as were waiting on this Mustang. After waiting over an hour and 20 minutes, I FINALLY got to see the Mustang- even though the dealership knew I was coming. The Mustang was dented, the mirror was broken, it had cheap Chinese tires (on a 400+hp car aka DANGEROUS) and filthy. I mentioned all of the flaws to Phil. Even after becoming aware of the faults, he still kept a positive attitude, which was great. We went for our test ride and the car drove fine. We got back to the dealer and went into Phil’s office to discuss numbers. Throughout the whole time sitting in his office and the test ride, they had my keys for appraisal, which is fine. Then once we filled out whatever papers, he left to go "work the numbers" and returned with a pathetic, completely non-competitive, time-wasting trade in value. I said “This is ridiculous. I was told you’d match or beat KBB value.” (I did the kbb myself, rating it the worst condition possible and dealer trade in $$) My car was over 3 grand under. I said “I’d like my keys back now in hand.” He continued to try and ask other questions over and over and after asking for my keys back after the 8th time he left to go get them. He came back in with my keys, and was accompanied by Ben, who i spoke with on the phone. Ben was there to basically explain to me that nothing was changing with the numbers and rambled on and on about his value of the car. I got up to leave and said "Thank you for wasting my time.” He then proceeded to argue with me like a completely unprofessional employee. I told him that I drove an hour and a half, only for him to xxxxxxxx me on a trade in value and make me sit for an hour and a half waiting to view the car. All he did was waste my time. I walked out and Ben literally followed me out of the store, instigating me and trying to get the very last word in, acting like a 10 year old child. I walked straight out of the dealership and, again, he quite literally followed me out the door, calling out to me as I was already outside and egging me on. I got in my car and left. I received a phone call not 5 minutes later from the GM asking what happened and I explained it all. He asked me what he can do for my business and I told him nothing and hung up, clearly very frustrated and angry. I do appreciate him trying. I also appreciated Phil keeping a positive and upbeat attitude the whole time. He was very pleasant to attempt to work. Ben on the other hand acted like a child. He holds a high position and should set examples of professionalism, and he did the complete opposite. Thank you to Ben of Wallace Hyundai of Stuart for trapping me into a dealership, showing me how childish and flat out unprofessional he was. I will never do business with this dealership again because of him and will make sure to tell everyone about my experience with him/this dealership. I feel bad for anyone under his supervision- they are being guided towards bad sales tactics and misguided leadership. Thank you for my worst dealership experience ever. More

Adam Ross helped us and we walked out an hour later with an excellent deal although the Santa Fe we needed was not in stock. Three days later he had obtained it and yet was ready for delivery exactly as promised. There was no pressure and the deal was completely straightforward. Wallace’s price was significantly lower than our local dealer. More

I know a lot of car dealerships are known as shady, but I had confidence that Wallace would be straight with me. I was wrong. My family has bought 8 or 9 cars from them over the years. Never again. Just be honest. Is that too much to ask. More

Worst experience of my life!! I would never suggest to ANYONE to ever waste their time at Wallace Hyundai. I have literally never had a worse experience or met a more unprofessiona I would never suggest to ANYONE to ever waste their time at Wallace Hyundai. I have literally never had a worse experience or met a more unprofessional group of people and I WILL be reporting this dealership to the Better Business Bureau. Allow me to explain: I am currently 9 months pregnant, and when I originally spoke with the salesman of this dealership I was completely upfront with them about our situation and the budget that we are currently working with. My husband and I do not have much credit, up until this point we have not been smart enough to build on our credit and have just paid cash. When I spoke with the salesman they were very adamant that our credit situation was not a problem at all and that they could work with us without any hassle. Now my husband and I are from Vero Beach which is a 45 min drive from Stuart, but seeing as we have our current credit situation, when the people at Wallace Hyundai told us that they could work with us we drove straight over. It seemed like everything was going great. They worked up some paperwork and put together a deal that we could agree to and afford. So we signed the papers, paid our down payment of $1,000 & was told to come back the next day to simply PICK UP THE CAR. I was told to secure insurance for the car as it was supposed to be a closed deal. So I did. And paid the deposit and payment for that as well. THEN we get a call saying come in, they have cars to show us after the bank approval came back. So I call the dealership thinking there must be a mistake. No professional salesman would have closed a deal that was not yet closeable right? I spoke with the GM, Amir, who, very rudely I might add, cut me off from my explanation and questions and simple spat at me, “you come in tomorrow to sign papers fine!” I tried to shake it off. Because I thought once again there is no way that a truly dependable business would screw me and my husband around so much especially being 9 months pregnant and living 45 min away from the dealership. So we go in the next day to pick up the car. Only to be told that they could not print the last paper for us to sign and that we had to come back the next day..... by the way this was on my birthday that this all happened. Sooo what did we have to do besides just do what they say and come back the next day. However, the entire time I had been thinking that there couldn’t possibly be anything more they could do wrong, the next morning I get a call to be informed that instead of being able to pick up my car as I was promised, we now owed $1,500 MORE in order to continue with the deal that we had already signed final paperwork for and completed several days before. Now I understand dealerships have trouble working with a client with little to no credit and that they can only do so much with the banks, my problem is why did I get lied to over and over, promised things that obviously could not be given, and given the run around for days on end? We wasted several tanks of gas, now have money tied up in an insurance policy for a vehicle that I didn’t even get, and still have no vehicle for my baby to be safely transported in. I can’t say enough how disappointed I am in Wallace Hyundai and truly hope no one else makes the mistake of attempting to do any business with these crooks!!! More
