While the vehicle I did end up buying is nice it's not one I truly love. There are features I truly wanted in a vehicle that I gave up when I purchased my vehicle. I should've stuck to my laurels and held out for the car I truly loved rather than settling on a car I liked. I also was told my car had a feature that would be utilized through the Blue Link app on my phone and while speaking to Blue Link isn't even offered on my model. It was one of the reasons I sacrificed one of the most important features on a car so I could still have a slight chance of being able to have that feature. Again the car is nice, drives well and is stylish but it's not something I truly love. More
Long Drive from Delray, but Worth It I needed a new car quickly, because my old car's clutch was failing and to replace it would cost nearly what it was worth. So I started calling every Hyundai dealer from Fort Lauderdale to Stuart. I explained I was pricing new 2017 Hyundai Elantra SE's and asked for their best price. I got prices from $18999 to $13995. Napleton gave me a price around $16999, but said if I got a better price, they would beat it by $1500 to $2000, because they had volume to move and price wouldn't be the issue to lose them a sale. They also mentioned a black loaner car with 6500 miles on it that they could sell me for $13999. I told them I didn't want a loaner, because people probably smoked in it and drove it roughly. Also, I had been pre-approved by my bank for a new car loan. The bank considers a car with more than 6000 miles on it as a used car. Well, Wallace was the one who gave me the best price on the phone. So I called Napleton back and told them the price I got from Wallace and they assured me that their offer still stood, I would just need the stock number of the car I was offered at Wallace. They said they had lots of 2017's, and asked me why I wouldn't want to stop in, before going all the way to Wallace, to get a better deal. So I went. They took my info and kept me there for 40 minutes. Finally, a manager came and told me that he didn't have many 2017's, but he had one car to offer me. I asked if it was the loaner car, and he admitted it was. I told him what was promised on the phone. He said that Wallace couldn't be giving me a new 2017 for that price. So I got up and told him he had wasted my time, and continued my trek to Wallace. When I got there, I was greeted warmly. I asked for the salesman I had spoken to and she went to get him. He told me he was with another client, but he sat me in a 2017 Elantra and asked me to check it out a few minutes. Soon after, he was back and introduced me to a colleague. He explained to him that I had already negotiated a price, so please take me for a test drive and get the paperwork going. He took me to a car and I got in. It was red with beige interior. I had had a car with beige interior before, but I preferred gray. He walked the lot and found one red with gray. He went to get the keys. The MSRP was a little higher than the first one he showed me, but he said that I could still get the price I negotiated. I took it for a spin. It was an automatic (as I requested), so I had to get used to that, but I liked the car. So we went back and finalized everything, and I had a new car without anyone trying to upsell me on a bunch of accessories or add-on's. It came with mats, a net for the trunk, a first aid kit, & a front license mounting kit. The finance lady asked if I wanted to get extended warranty and things like that, but I didn't take them, so she threw in the tire maintenance service for free, because she thought I should have it. All very nice, very professional, and very respectful people! I would recommend Wallace to everyone. More
