Sorry to hear that your experience was not a good one. I spoke with John, the service advisor who assisted you, and apparently he was given the impression that all keys to the vehicle were inside the vehicle when this was not the case. When a new key is purchased and programmed, it is important to have all keys because the car is also programmed tot he key. So, any missing keys would not work after the programming. When the technician went to program the new key he noticed that there were some keys missing. So yes, you and John decided that it would be best if you took the vehicle and returned with all keys. I apologize for the inconvenience.

I'm sorry you're unhappy that an NYS inspection was not performed during your last visit. I spoke with John and he related that yes, he forgot to include the inspection with the number of other items that were also on the repair order. Both he and you also failed to notice its absence when the repair order was reviewed and your signature was added. I understand that you and John realized the oversight when you arrived to pick up the vehicle. John brought your vehicle into the shop then, but the vehicle failed the inspection. Unfortunately, because the service performed included a software update, the emissions history that is normally communicated to the inspection computer was erased by the software update, a routine occurrence. The vehicle will need to be driven, typically about 50 miles or so, before sufficient emissions history is accumulated to pass an inspection. Again I apologize for the oversight and the inconvenience of having to return for a second visit.

There's nothing to resolve. I'm not coming back and waiting another 4 hours for a simple fix, in order to get bad service again. I voiced my concern at the time and you guys refused to help and your only option was "we'll just unrepair it, no problem". Now that I left a bad review online, only then you want to "resolve the issue"? That's bad business. You should have got it right the first time and given better customer service. I'll take my business where I will be treated right for my next car, which will not be a Volvo ever again after this.
