I called yesterday to see when they could get my Volvo in for AC work. They took my car in same day and sent me off of my way in a brand new Volvo. Have had nothing but problems with this service center since we started using them in 2019. Over the last 12 months it's been a comedy of errors or miscommunication with their Service department. Getting the Service Manager & the Sales Manager involved has not done anything to improve the situation. The last time I was in there (around 4-5 weeks ago - story is too long to type exactly what all was said & (not) done but Mr barton made assurances to me verbally & via email, the Service Center said those assurances were in place, yet the Service Center denied them when I showed up for my Appointment), the Service Manager said he would would get some information from his Tech on Monday & call me back. He never did. I went in to purchase an after market warranty before our MFG warranty expired & explained my issues to the young lady dealing with the warranty papers. She said she would look into it since Mr. Barton was off that day. Heard back from the Service Mgr after that and asked him why he never followed up with me & again said he'd look into it but again no follow up since & though I have received some automated texts from "Mr Barton", he has never contacted me since I told him we were not looking to purchase a new vehicle, we just wanted out old one repaired. I have a lot of military friends who have purchased new Volvo's direct from Sweden & have returned to San Antonio area with their cars. This is the only dealership in the SA area & I have yet to hear anything good about this dealership. My problem has been so minor (yet annoying), yet despite showing them videos or what it's doing, they can't seem to come up with a simple quick fix. The communication between the Service associates & their management is atrocious. Since we moved back to Texas in summer of 2019, I have dealt with seven different vehicles & 3 other dealerships - none of them were less than 4 stars. Don't know why this one is so consistently disappointing. I guess when you are the only one in town, you can get away with being "mediocre". More

Cody Kyle was very helpful and courteous and explained everything needed to correct our complains existing during our visit. But, after over $2000.00, only one thing was corrected. I did not mind the excessive cost of the repair, if it would have solved the problem. I believe Volvo owners are caught between a rock and a hard place, with only one Volvo dealership in San Antonio. But, that's why we recently bought Mercedes, since there are more than one dealerships in town. My loss. Back to the original problem. We drove straight home and left city for the holidays. When we got back, vehicle did not start. Vehicle still has sluggish acceleration I asked to be addressed. The problem is, I don't want to spend another $2000. on service that will not solve problem. Again, Cody was great, and I would want him to address my concerns. I'm aware company is there to make money and try to make as much as possible from customers. Not his fault. More
Recent visit was for a state inspection for our XC-60. I made the appointment for 2:30 PM by phone at 9:30 AM. Car was inspected and returned to me by 4:30 PM. It took me 1 month to get a preventative maintenance appointment, for which I had to drive 3 hour for as I live in Rio Bravo, Texas. It took 6 HOURS to get my oil changed. When i asked the technician wh appointment, for which I had to drive 3 hour for as I live in Rio Bravo, Texas. It took 6 HOURS to get my oil changed. When i asked the technician why it would take so long just for a PM inspection, despite me having an appointment, he said the appointment was to discuss my needs with him, not the mechanic. I now have to spend the night in San Antonio when I had planned to drive back home, as I cannot see that well in the dark. I love my car and have had wonderful experiences in the past in Alaska and North Carolina. I bought a $52K car to have a luxury experience. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I had considered buying another Volvo but not if this is what I can look forward to. My Volvo car has been great but this is by far the WORST Service Department ever! If you want a luxury experience because you buy a luxury car...DO NOT GO TO THE VOLVO DEALERSHIP IN SAN ANTONIO. So incredibly disappointing. More
