I appreciated the effort made to allow me a loaner car for the day. The issue with my remote key still hasn't been fixed, while not vitally important, it has been a a nuisance that I thought could be add for the day. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change, state inspection, and to have an error code evaluated. I made it clear that I needed to be informed of any repairs that would not be covered by warrantee. inspection, and to have an error code evaluated. I was phoned by Larry that evening and told that all I needed for the state inspection was new wiper blades. I was quite surprised by this since I had just purchased rather expensive replacement blades 3 months previously. Larry said he would look into it and I did not hear back from him. When I picked up my vehicle the following day, I asked about the wiper blades and was contritely told that they were fine and did not need to be replaced. Good news for me, but why try to rip me off??? I was also told that the error code had been cleared and that it was no concern, just needed to be cleaned up a little. So I went to drive home and less than a minute later the error code was back on. I returned to the service department and explained to Larry who called out the service technician. The tech was completely non-chalant and did not care. Basically if the vehicle was NOT covered by warrantee he would have replaced a sensor and charged me for it, but since it is covered he thought he could just clean things up a little and try to let it go. Considering that I drove 1.5 hours to get there and now had to change my plans for the day while they fixed something they should have already done, I would have expected an apology or some promise of trying to get it done as quick as possible. Instead I had to wait until after their lunch break to get my car back. Overall Larry did provide good customer service; he at least tried, and said it was "embarassing". When I walked into the dealership, I was immediately greeted and welcomed. A sales person showed up quickly and I was shown several vehicles and finally found the one I liked and thought I could be hap greeted and welcomed. A sales person showed up quickly and I was shown several vehicles and finally found the one I liked and thought I could be happy with. The price was right and I was given time to make up my mind. When the decision was made, it was finalized over the phone as I could not get back to the dealership immediately. The final paperwork, etc was quickly expedited and I was on my way, a happy camper! Our fairly new Volvo had a major malfunction. The cost to repair was more then we could have afforded. The dealer and Volvo both stepped up and repaired our vehicle with little to no charge. my wife made an appointment for service. I told her the car only needed an oil change and inspection. Dan Decicco the svc mgr conned her into doing a coolant change which the car didn't need. I have the past service records from the previous owner. I guess he didn't think of that. I asked him why he didn't check the vin number he couldn't answer me. Mr Decicco took advantage of a little woman that didn't know the service history of the car and refused to admit his error and give me a refund for unwanted and unneeded service. I will never return to this dealer for anything except a refund. Dan Decicco is a thief, a liar, and a conniving weasle. I pity those he has already ripped off and those who will be ripped off in the future. More
Not impressed! Renee Fennaghty, did such a fine job of welcoming me a few weeks ago for some test drives, that I saw no reason to look further than Hudson Valley Volvo to make a decision on a car. As it happens, I am new to the area and have just returned from four years living in Europe, where I had no car. I have only ever owned Volvos in the past, so naturally made my first stop at HVV. Since I had been out of the car market for several years, I was expecting my search for a new vehicle would be a somewhat uncomfortable experience. Renee’s personality and effort to explain all the new technology I had missed while living abroad made my experience free of delays, complications and indecisions. The fervor with which she described the new models as well as the pre-owned car I eventually bought helped make the whole process I was dreading, problem-free. The car I purchased has been universally admired since I picked it up. I find it hard to believe myself that this is not a brand-new automobile! I heartily recommend Renee and Hudson Valley Volvo to anyone in the area looking for a quality car purchase experience. More
