My opinion. This is my opinion. I would like to tell you of my opinion in dealing with Volvo of South Charleston. Several weeks ago I called the dealership to This is my opinion. I would like to tell you of my opinion in dealing with Volvo of South Charleston. Several weeks ago I called the dealership to see if they had the part I needed. When I say part it was just the blue "VOLVO" sticker on the front emblem. It was in stock so I planned a trip to South Charleston (45 minute drive). August 14 I took my Volvo (C70 T5) to the Volvo dealership, I arrived around noon. The part was in stock and to my surprise it was covered by my warranty. ---To be clear it was a 15 second job, requiring no training or any other tools to install.--- On line the sticker runs about $6.00. I was told by the parts guy the dealership had to install the sticker (warranty work). So parts told me to see Mr. Lee (the maintenance manager) he told me that everyone was at lunch. It would be an hour or so until they could install the sticker. My car was parked 10 feet from Mr. Lee, I asked if he could put it on. Mr. Lee told he would not put the sticker on. So I asked who owned this dealership, he told me Roger owned it. I asked where Roger was, he told me upstairs. I went up stairs and finally found someone named Paul, he indicated that he owned the dealership. When I asked to see Roger, Paul said he works for me. So I told him my problem. It was at that point I realized I had no idea who Paul was. So I proceed to leave, Paul intercepted me at my car and again asked me what was the problem? This was the second time I told him the whole story. So I left went home and ordered what I needed online, never will step foot in any of those dealership's owned by Paul. That places need some good customer training and great LEADERSHIP. 15 seconds for a $6.00 part under warranty, and no one had the time. Like respect, hard to get but easy to loose. I will tell this story far and wide. I started a FB page and twitter account (400 hundred followers at this time) to share my OPINION of that dealership. I spent 26 years in the US Air Force, I have fired people on the spot for this kind of crap. If I could I would have fired Lee on the spot, or made him hand out towels in the men's room. More
