This was our first stop of five, and it was by far our best experience. Even though Otis knew we weren't in the market for a car, he took the time to show my son every model he was interested in. He answered all his questions and then gave him brochures for each model. After that he introduced us to Brent Adkisson, Executive Manager, who was just as nice. When he found out it was my son's birthday, he gave him a Volvo cloth shopping bag and a Volvo drinking glass. If I was looking to buy a Volvo, I'd definitely want to work with these gentlemen. More

The customer service was excellent, I will recommend them to family and friends. They were very honest with the value of the car. We had done our homework on the car and they were right within price r them to family and friends. They were very honest with the value of the car. We had done our homework on the car and they were right within price range on vehicle price. I have never been to a dealership that has been so honest and upfront. There was no pressure to buy and the sales man that worked with us was very friendly, honest, and his knowledge of the vehicle was excellent. They gave us more for our trade in then blue book. My Husband and I will never go to any other dealership again, when its time to get a new car we will be coming back. If you are looking to buy a new or used car this is the place to go. Buying a car was finally a good experience!!! Go see Stuart W. Alsup, he was our salesman. More
On November 10, 2012, I went into the dealership to buy a car. I specifically told them I wanted my payment to stay under $250 a month. I get in there and they have already approved me for an 08 Audo 2.0 T car. I specifically told them I wanted my payment to stay under $250 a month. I get in there and they have already approved me for an 08 Audo 2.0 Turbo priced over $20,000 at almost $500 a month. I tried to get my sales guy to show me the vehicles under $10,000, but he was annoyed and clearly didn't want to. Then, apparently, they had they quite a distance away and ultimately, after the bad behavior of the salesman, I conceded and agreed to go with the Aud. Although I told them I wouldn't qualify or afford the for Audi, but some how I was convinced and took the vehicle home. On December 31, 2012, they called me and stated I wasn't approved and needed to bring the vehicle in immediately. I was with a client at the time and told them I couldn't talk as I was with my client. They continued to call over and over to the point I had to shut my phone off. It was also New Years and I was not going to take the vehicle in until after New Years. New Years day, I receive calls over and over threatening to call the police if I didn't immediately return the call. They also threatened a lawsuit. Van, the idiot who couldn't get me approved stated I had lied about my income which wasn't possible since I brought in that proof. He continued to blame me for his inability to get approved. Additionally, after that all happened I saw the very Audi they put me into priced under just over $16,000 (remember they put me in it for over $20,000 and then couldn't get me approved and I told them they wouldn't). I have several messages where they state they would come and get the car. I get a message on 01 10 13 stating that if I didn't bring the car in they would deduct it from my deposit. I told them to come get the car and bring my deposit. He has refused to pick up the car thus far. I have since purchased another vehicle with no problems. These folks are the perfect example of shadey used car salesmen. Stay away from them. More
I never thought I'd be recommending a car dealership, but Volvo of Phoenix is great. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the dealership to find that they did not utilize high-pressure sales (someth Volvo of Phoenix is great. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the dealership to find that they did not utilize high-pressure sales (something I had encountered at many other dealerships in the Valley). I actually enjoyed my car-buying experience! My mom was so impressed that, the day after I bought my new Volvo, she also bought one from Volvo of Phoenix. We both love our cars! I would highly recommend this dealership, Nathan Smith, and Brent!! More
I brought my 2008 Volvo S60 in to Volvo of Phoenix for an oil change with a coupon for $32.95. They did a courtesy check and said I also needed: upper engine mount ($240), front strut mounts ($450), coolant oil change with a coupon for $32.95. They did a courtesy check and said I also needed: upper engine mount ($240), front strut mounts ($450), coolant fluid exchange ($140), and rear brake pads (no price given). I declined the extra service and when I went to pay for the oil change, they "accidentally" forgot to apply the coupon. Then they "couldn't find it" and said I would have to pay for an extra quart of oil (specs say 5.8 qts and they claimed coupon would only cover 5 qts.) Specs recommend 10W40 motor oil, they only put in 5W30. Found it incredibly poor customer service, especially considering they were trying to sell me on $1000 of unexpected service! I went to Shadow Mountain Auto Service at 32nd ST. and Shea in Phoenix for an independent 2nd opinion. The only thing I needed was a coolant flush which I had them do for $96. Shadow Mountain Auto Service said Volvo of Phoenix was outright lying to me. Shadow Mountain Auto had no motivation to lie. They would have received my business and done it for less. I also spent 1 1/2 hours with a salesman at Volvo of Phoenix to get a price on a new S60 for European Delivery on short notice. 2 days later and I still haven't received a price, though he just called to say "they hadn't forgotten me"! What terrible customer service! Volvo of Phoenix is a new, dishonest dealership that tries to sell unnecessary service, cuts corners, and has terrible customer service. Too bad because Volvo is a good product. I had only positive experiences with Sanderson Volvo so it is a shame that Volvo of Phoenix lacks the same integrity and customer care. Beware! More
