I decided to take my gti for service at South VW after a horrible experience with the "other vw" dealer around. - that's another review altogether. Aurelio the service advisor explained to me that the issue with my transmission would require a reprogram and it the car would be ready by the end of the day. Sure I thought. I was very please to get a call from him near the end of the day telling me the car was ready. I was actually caught off base and had to scramble to get a ride to the dealer. I got there a little after service dept closed but the actually had all paperwork ready and waiting for me. Needless to say I was very happy to have my baby back the same day. They even washed and cleaned the car. More
South Motors Volkswagen took a month to fix my car which I have never even HEARD of happening before. I called my Service Provider "Mike" almost every day for a month because when he said he would call me back to give me an update, he didn't. After dealing with Mike for three weeks I finally went to the Service Manager, Vasil, and left him voicemail after voicemail but unfortunately received the same response - NOTHING. When all was said and done they never even apologized for the inconvenience!!! When I went to pick up the car the drivers side door was DESTROYED! I have since opened up complaints with them with The Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org/), The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (http://www.800helpfla.com/complnt.html), and Miami-Dade Consumer Services (http://www.miamidade.gov/csd/). If they have wronged you be proactive and constructive and contact these agencies as they exist to assist consumers like us who have been wronged! More
Needed to perform my 30K service on my Touareg. I then called to find out the cost and to make an appointment. When I arrived for my service appointment, the lady directs me to one of the service reps, the man starts taking my information again and then starts punching keys in the computer for about a minute or so, I asked to confirm the estimate for my service and the guy gives me a number about $200 higher than what was told to me over the phone. When we went back and forth, he was basically telling me that it was my word against his that I had been given such quote…he gave the old “well for touaregs it is more expensive than other cars speech”completely lacking costumer service ability and downright insulting. I am not the kind of guy that will get bullied into doing something so while I was discussing the issue with the guy I decided in my mind that if this is the way they do business and treat their costumers face to face there is no telling what they are capable of doing behind closed doors when they are working on your car. I ended my discussion by bidding farewell to the xxxxxx and stating that I would find another place to service my car, confrontational to the end the service rep shouted, as I walked towards the exit, you wont find a place to do that for a lower price….. FYI, completed the same service at the Coral Gables VW dealership and ended up paying about $50 less than the original price South Motors had quoted me…..If that doesn’t sound like a scam, I don’t know what will… Taking your care here would probably be the worst decision you can make in your car's life in more ways than one...SCAM SCAM SCAM written all over it, I don’t know how VW can do business with such filth.
