My wife and I had not purchased a new car since 2018. We were recently pressed into purchasing a new car and as it turns out, we had a need to purchase two cars. After weeks of careful research, we determined that the best value for the type of autos we were in the market for came from Volkswagen. We settled on a new Tiguan for the first car. I searched high and low for the model we wanted. We made an appointment at a different dealership, only to be turned away upon our arrival. The other dealer claimed they had sold the Tiguan we wanted only minutes before we arrived. My opinion is that this other dealer lied to us. We had test driven the Tiguan at Oak Lawn VW, so we decided to go back and try to find a car that fit our needs. Jeffery Keubeng worked with us, and we settled on an inbound Tiguan. At that point, we put a deposit on the Tiguan and waited for its arrival. During our waiting period, a need for another car came up. Again, after careful research including new and used cars, we landed on a new Jetta. We went back to Jeffery and were able to purchase a new Jetta before the Tiguan arrived. As far as the process goes, purchasing a new car takes waaaay too long. I don’t think this is exclusive to Oak Lawn VW, but it took 4 hours to complete the paperwork for the Jetta and 2-1/2 hours to complete the paperwork for the Tiguan. Early indications on the cars themselves are extremely positive. The Jetta is driven mainly by my 16-year-old daughter. It is the perfect car for a teenager. All the necessary tech was included (blind spot monitor, autonomous braking, lane departure warning, etc.), which makes me feel secure when my daughter takes the car. My wife loves her new Tiguan. It drives really smooth; the interior is complementary to commuting and the technology makes her feel safe. The large sunroof is luxurious. The wireless charging station is convenient. I recommend Oak Lawn VW for your auto needs and would ask for Jeffery when you are ready to buy. Also, Kevin Boyle, the business manager, was helpful in trying to move the process quicker. More
I brought my 2024 atlas to the service department. car is having electrical issues.when I arrived, I was told that they didn’t have loaners, but they could give me a ride back home. One hour later they couldn’t take me home because they didn’t have anyone or any cars. I would not have a problem with that if I was told this from the beginning But Reyna the service attendant came out 15 min into my waiting time and told me that the shuttle was going to be there shortly, that she had called them and they were on the way. Well if I would not have checked she would have left me waiting there for hours. the service manager and her were absolutely unprofessional! they told me that since they didn’t have anybody to take me home Nore had loaners my options were to just reschedule and take my car back .that obviously upset me a lot because I was there for an hour and a half waiting for a ride back home. However, their response was actually really shocking. They said that they prioritize on the customers that purchase their cars there and since I didn’t purchased the car there they didn’t ’t have loaners for me.And Reyna also mentioned that if i didn’t like my options, I could always take the car back to the dealer I purchased it from. this is definitely not the way to treat customers. Hopefully this review gets to owners or upper management, people that will care about the customer and the reputation of this place. You should be treated with dignity and respect whether you purchase a car there or not, you are a Volkswagen CUSTOMER.! More

Took my car in for service and 4 days later still hasn’t even been looked at. I was it was looked at but my car send me notifications of when it is open or turned on and since I’ve dropped it off has not ev even been looked at. What’s the point of doing an appointment if they don’t have availability. Don’t think of customer and advisor don’t answer or return calls. I wish I could give a 0 stars as a rating. More

Just the facts so customers know what they are getting into. Told me my credit score of 854 was only good for 9.9% for a loan although I was preapproved on their own website at 6.7%. Then, offered me $1000 on my trade that Carmax valued at $4300. Then, they couldn't explain how the advertised price of $21,995 was going to total $39,336 after payments at 9.9%. I know how this game is played but this was just silly. I am willing to negotiate but when the other party shows upfront that they are not negotiating in good faith, you have to walk away. I tried to make a deal on the phone and they told me I had to come in. I took time off work, drove over an hour each way, and just wasted half the day with practices I find to be intentionally deceiving. I would not recommend this dealership. More
