We had zeroed in our search for a new car(Passat SE) and had done our research on car price at Edmunds and other internet sites. The only choice was which VW dealership to purchase from. Our initial visit to VW-IGH was informative, casual and not filled with the usual pressure or phoniness of sales staff. When we returned a few days later to "seal the deal" we were pleasantly surprised to see that the price quoted for the car was exactly in line with what our internet research stated it would be-no hidden fees and no paying for option packages or trim levels that we didn't need or want. Tim Anderson spent quite a few minutes going over the myriad of features the car has, showing us how to configure all the cars electronic bells and whistles, and letting us know that we could bring the car back as often as need if we needed help. We had purchased a VW 10 years ago from another , nearby VW dealership and really couldn't find a reason to purchase this newest VW from this dealer. He also took time to personally help me transfer the items from the trunk of my old car into the trunk of my new car. I have never had such a pleasant experience at a dealership and with a salesman as I did with Volkswagen of Inver Grove and Travis. In addition, the finance professional I dealt with was very friendly and really took the time to answer my questions and explain things to me in plain language that I could understand (not with technical/financial jargon). The staff as a whole were always smiling and not overbearing like many dealerships I had visited. I recently purchased a 2012 Volkswagen GTI from this dealer. I've purchased many a new car in my 50-something years but this was the best buying experience I had. I typically seek invoice price inform dealer. I've purchased many a new car in my 50-something years but this was the best buying experience I had. I typically seek invoice price information and start from there with negotiating and have often bought cars from dealers out of the twin cities just to get the best price. Dealers typically have not made much of an impression on me and if they did, it tended not to be a very positive one. My plan was to use the same approach for this car. I contacted Inver Grove because they had the color I wanted and was prepared to negotiate with them and at least one other dealer. However I found out they were a "no-haggle" dealership. I was skeptical of this concept. In theory I like it but in previous experiences with fixed price situations (e.g. through my credit union), the prices weren't great. However, here, I was quoted a great price up front and then from there was just enchanted by their whole approach. This is a dealer who really, honestly, wants the customer to have a great experience. Apparently, the ownership company was involved with Saturn dealerships and brought concepts over to this dealer. I had also never traded in a car before, preferring to sell myself and had several experiences where the dealer's appraiser found various ways to devalue my car. In this case the appraiser was positive, down-to-earth, and did not apply pressure or speak any nonsense. It was a straightforward and fair transaction. The sales associate and the product specialist could not have been more helpful. I had some technical questions and was brought out to service where I chatted with a technician who took the time to answer my questions and orient me to the service area and process. A great deal of time was spent answering my questions and orienting me to the car. As for the financing side, that was straightforward and professional. While extended warranties (which I generally don't believe in) were discussed, there was no pressure. Everything was thoroughly gone over. The owner even introduced himself and chatted for a bit. This is a dealership that puts a premium on a positive buying experience, from price to customer service. It is a new space and from their showroom to the service waiting area, everything is comfortable and pleasant. It'd be hard to imagine how it could be improved. More

I wanted to replace my 10 year old Volkswagon Golf, so I contacted VW of Inver Grove through the website and set up an appointment to try out the new award winning 2012 my 10 year old Volkswagon Golf, so I contacted VW of Inver Grove through the website and set up an appointment to try out the new award winning 2012 Golf TDI. I was able to get over there earlier than I had planned, so I called to see if I could come in a few hours earlier and they happily accommodated me. Mike took me on a test drive and the handling and comfort of the 2012 VW Golf had me sold. Dennis at the dealership was able to find me the Golf in the color I wanted and I was able to pick it up the following business day. Heather was thorough in the warranties and financing department, and Mike took more time than salespeople usually take to go over all the workings of my new VW. He even connected my bluetooth equipped cell phone to the car so I didn't have to do it myself. From the people helping me set up the appointment on the internet (Mary) to the man who helped Mike open the doors (Andre?) so I could drive my car off the dealership floor, I had a fantastic experience. I talked to many other people while I was there, whose names I unfortunately can't remember, but I have to say that the people of Inver Grove Volkswagon are friendly, happy and knowledgeable.
