Not were we completely comfortable and at ease throughout, I also live out of town, and the timely responses and flexibility when working with our schedule while we were in town was SO wonderful and considerate. We worked directly with Joe Weidenfeller, who made the process informative and FUN (which, shouldn't it be?!). I've wanted a Volkswagen since I can remember, and a Tiguan for about 5 years - and he made both myself and my parents comfortable and even more excited about the choice we made as well. I cannot say enough good things! In addition to Joe, everyone was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to work with. Questionable Practices I went to Volkswagen on the suggestion of a friend with the hope of turning our one car with negative equity into two used cars. We were told to see M I went to Volkswagen on the suggestion of a friend with the hope of turning our one car with negative equity into two used cars. We were told to see Mike, however, he was with someone else. The person we worked with seemed amiable enough, however, instead of working the deal that we wanted he tried instead to get us into a lease on two new Jettas. Knowing that our credit was less than stellar, I was doubtful of this solution. After the sales rep pulled our credit report for us to review, our scores were unbelievably low. Because of this, our interest rate went through the roof and the offer went from two Jettas to one (which is the total opposite of what we were trying to accomplish). Not being able to get us into a second car (he never even attempted to get us into used cars like we requested), we walked away, questioning what could have happened to our credit that would drop our scores so low. Seeking answers, I logged into Credit Karma this morning to find that the credit scores presented to me last night were 100 points LOWER than my credit scores being reported by Credit Karma today. How is this even possible??? I can't help but question the reputation of the dealership and the finance manager when I am confronted with such a vast difference in my credit scores after 12 short hours. I would recommend to anyone that you do your credit research in advance. Be educated so that when a dealership tries to get one over on you so they can jack your interest rates, you can call them on it. More

There are still some honest people out there, but few are as upright as Joe. More
