Let me tell you about my experience at Volkswagen of Fallston. On April 11 2023 I went to put gas in my car, I could not get the gas door open. I took it up to the dealer. They got the door open. They b Fallston. On April 11 2023 I went to put gas in my car, I could not get the gas door open. I took it up to the dealer. They got the door open. They broke the end off of the piece that locks the door. They said it was not working. The service advisor said we ordered you another one. I said I will be back up here in two weeks for brakes and an oil change. He said it will be here for you. The very next week I stopped by to make the appointment, I asked about the part for the gas lid. This service advisor said what part nobody ordered that part. He said it will be here for you when you come in for your brakes and your oil change. Three days before my appointment I stopped by again, and asked another service advisor. He said no one ordered that part. This is now THREE different service advisors. I stood there while he ordered it. It gets more interesting. The day of my appointment, I had an 8 am appointment. I got there at 7:45 they were going to do brakes, oil change tire rotation. and fix the gas door. I was going to wait. I said to the advisor, I'm going walk down to Burger King have breakfast and read the paper. At 9 am my phone rings the advisor says the part for your gas door is not here, I said OK go ahead and do everything else. He said what do you mean. I said I'm scheduled for brakes, oil change and tire rotation. He says its not in the computer. It's in mine they sent me an email to confirm. I left Burger King and started walking back to the dealer. I will be 79 in two months this is no easy task for me. When I get back to the dealer my car is still sitting where I left it one and a half hours ago. It has not moved. I could go on, but you get the picture. Inept is too kind of a word for this service dept. More
Great Service Department! Adam and Mike were super nice. Kept me in the loop. My car was finished when they said it would be. The ladies at the check out desk were great. CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED: If you have an appointment for a repair, confirm with the Service Associate that having an appointment does, in fact, mean that your car will be worked on. I dropped my car off a repair, confirm with the Service Associate that having an appointment does, in fact, mean that your car will be worked on. I dropped my car off for a repair (the part was ordered and arrived) at 10AM, at 4PM I returned to only hear from the Service Associate, "Unfortunately, the technician couldn't get to your car today". No apology... no explanation. I e-mailed the General Manager, Frank Shaffer, and never received a response. Also suspicious that I never received a Customer Survey inquiring about that visit??????????? I consistently have received Customer Surveys with every visit to the dealer. If only giving less than 1 star was an option.......... More

We were delighted with our purchase, until we encountered some major car issues, shortly afterwards. The two of us, tried to settle our issues, with the service department, including Cook’s Assistant Manager; but, left the meeting feeling very disappointed and dissatisfied. I gave a full account of our experience, in a customer review. Shortly after writing the review, we received a phone call from Cook Volkswagen’s General Manager, Frank Schaffer. He allowed us to explain reasons for our discontentment, and he vowed to make things right, for us. Frank Schaffer, true to his word, made things happen! He took personal care, of our car issues, and everything that concerned us, was corrected. Frank Schaffer is, a Man of his Word. Open Comment Thank you, Mr. Schaffer, for being a quality man.
