DO NOT purchase a vehicle from this dealership i purchased a 2006 subaru which I looked over inside and out thoroughly and test drove i was at the dealership past 10 oclock at night with the salesme purchased a 2006 subaru which I looked over inside and out thoroughly and test drove i was at the dealership past 10 oclock at night with the salesmen lenny trying to get me the payment i had requested. We went back and forth multiple times until the payment was around what i wanted. I was also told that i would have one month with no payment. I purchased the car that night, drove it less than 5 miles and noticed that it had no gas. I then found out a three weeks later that my payment was already over due and that they had switched the paperwork when i signed with the loan officer so now the 5 year loan that i thought i was going to have was a 7 year loan and the amount that i was charged for the car was more than what i agreed upon. They charged a 1500 dollar reconditioning fee which was totally ridiculous because they obviously just got the car and hadnt even washed it or put gas in it. When i contacted the dealership with my concerns about the lies i was told concerning my loan i was told that it was to late and nothing could be done for me. Also it took them well over a month to get the proper registration and tags because i lived out of state and they did not have a legal inspection on the car. They in turn required that i have the vehicle inspected in order to get my tags. One month and a half after purchasing the car the rear differential went, subsequently i again called Lenny at Cook with my concerns about the now broken $15,000 car, he told me since i hadnt purchased the extended warranty nothing could be done for me. The repair ended up costing me $1,000 dollars for a used rear end. I was without the vehicle for almost a month. Two months later the transmission blew, which ended up disabling my car for two more months and costing me $3700 dollars to have rebuilt, in the process of having the transmission rebuilt i also discovered that the wrong fly wheel and clutch were installed on the vehicle prior to me buying it. This discovery was made by my mechanic which i was then told was the reason why the transmission blew. So now not only was i overcharged on the vehicles value but i also am out almost $5,000 dollars in repairs on a vehicle that i have only been driving for four months. My recommendation is if your thinking about buying a used vehicle from COOK TURN AROUND AND RUN IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION TOWARD ANY OTHER DEALERSHIP THAT ISNT FILLED WITH LIARS AND CROOKS . More
Maybe this review is a little unfair since I didn't get too far a certainly did buy from Cook, but they are so out of line that I I felt I needed to share what I experienced. I found what looked like a get too far a certainly did buy from Cook, but they are so out of line that I I felt I needed to share what I experienced. I found what looked like a very nice Jetta TDI on Cook's website. I shared my interest with them through the provided web form and Jalen Mcglenn Reitter contacted me. Throughout our conversation, we talked briefly about the price which was the same as listed on the web. From other reviews, I was clued in to ask specifically about the recondition fee which I did. In his first reply when acknowledged there was one but even though I specifically asked he did not tell me how much it was so I called and to my utter amazement found it was $2500. I've heard of dealer processing fees before which are $400 +/- but never have I seen deception like this. Avoid Cook or at least go in knowing there is a huge add on and ask about it. More
I found the employees to be friendly, attentive, caring and professional. No pressure and very fair. I was shopping for a hybrid but didn't know that much about them. During the test drive the salesman and professional. No pressure and very fair. I was shopping for a hybrid but didn't know that much about them. During the test drive the salesman explained all of the features and how it operated he was very informative and helpful. I never felt rushed or pressured it was very conversational. Cook VW has a new happy customer!!!! More
I had just sold my old Celica on Craigslist and I had some cash from my tax return, but I still didn't know if I had enough for a down payment on the New Beetle I wanted. Wayne Mekinski at Cook Motors he some cash from my tax return, but I still didn't know if I had enough for a down payment on the New Beetle I wanted. Wayne Mekinski at Cook Motors helped me to get the deal I needed, he even worked it out so that I could afford a convertible, which is great now that spring is in the air. Thanks Wayne! More
It always feels a little dangerous to walk into a car dealer off the street. I am saving for a new car, and I really wanted to just look at the New Beetle Convertible, but who needs the pressure when the dealer off the street. I am saving for a new car, and I really wanted to just look at the New Beetle Convertible, but who needs the pressure when the salesman swoops down and won't let you go? Like I say, I was just looking, and to my surprise, Bill was cool with that. He was helpful without going all high pressure, he answered all my questions even though he knew I was not going to buy until I have some more money saved. He did help me to realize that I am closer to my goal than I thought, so when I am ready I will be back to see Bill in a minute!” More
We had a great experience at Cook VW with Teena who was friendly, very competent and made the entire experience enjoyable. Everyone at Cook VW made the experience feel like they were genuinely trying to he friendly, very competent and made the entire experience enjoyable. I visited this dealership to purchase a used car. After luring me to the dealership with a low price online, the salesman then informed me that I would have to pay a $1500 "reconditioning" fee, as well as luring me to the dealership with a low price online, the salesman then informed me that I would have to pay a $1500 "reconditioning" fee, as well as taxes and tags which ultimately put the vehicle out of my budget. They also offered me much less for my trade in than a dealership two doors down from them did (a difference of $4,000!) the other dealership quickly dismissed my trade as "not worth much"... then why did the dealership down the street sell it within two days of putting it on their lot AND manage to make a decent profit from it? I also had a conversation with the manager after being told he wanted to "work out a deal with me". Instead, he didnt budge from the list price or the added $3000 from the reconditioning, taxes and tags. He informed me that I was going to regret my decision from not buying from them - I think he should regret his decision not selling to an informed customer who knew exactly what my car was worth. They were rude, disrespectful and I would never reccomend them to anyone. There is a reason why they are nicknamed "Crook" Volkswagen! More
We were greeted at the place by a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable gentleman who listened to the entire needs and requirements of my husband and me before going on to make suggestions. We got a perfect knowledgeable gentleman who listened to the entire needs and requirements of my husband and me before going on to make suggestions. We got a perfect car for our family and that too at a great deal. The salesman was extremely helpful and not only met our expectation but even surpassed it. We give it a big thumb up. More
