My wife and I came to this dealership to look at a used Lexus RX330 that we found on the internet. After a test drive, we sat down with a salesman to discuss price. He was very hesitant to come to a specific selling price for the vehicle and kept trying to get us to tell him what we wanted as a monthly payment amount. In my opinion, this is clearly a tactic to avoid getting to a specific price on the vehicle. When we finally told the salesman to stop beating around the bush and tell us what the price of the vehicle was, he admitted that it was going to be higher than the advertised internet price because the advertised price did not include the reconditioning fees. We again had to insist on being told what those fees were. He wouldn't tell us how much was spent reconditioning the vehicle, but quoted us a price about $3,000 higher than the internet price. I told him he was out of his mind and we walked out of the dealership. The manager came out after us and quoted us a different price that was still higher than the internet price but about $2,000 less than what the salesman had quoted. Clearly, they are using deceptive bait and switch tactics to lure you to the dealership with low advertised prices and then they try hide their increased prices somewhere in your monthly payment. These guys are the epitome of everything people detest about used car salesmen. It is important to understand that the dealership already factored in reconditioning fees when deciding what to pay for the vehicle when they acquired it in trade or at auction. So now they are trying to get it on both ends. Stay away. More

Within a week our car was totaled. Don Burke cancelled the loan which caused trouble for the insurance and we weren't allowed to use the gap we purchased , so we lost $600 on that. We put 2,000 down on the car and since there was never a loan and they didn't give the deposit to a bank , where did our money go ?? We picked out 4 more cars to purchase one of them and never relieved a call to come back about the numbers and payments. So , we took our business to jones and purchased a car. Asked who I could complain too about Don and was told he was part owner and there was nothing I could do. So , my sister told me of this website because it needs to be put out there of what a horrible experience I had. Plus , who has money to just lose like that and Don told us to get a lawyer when he couldn't explain to me where the deposits went , the tag and title money I should be refunded but didn't because Mva had no record of it , and lost $600 on gap because it was never used. I have passed this along to friends and family and will never use them again. More

Further, Fran showed great depth in understanding today's buying approach to new cars (the internet) and the demographic I represent. It was a true pleasure to have solid, straightforward interactions as opposed to some kid trying to push price haggling with me. We quickly settled the deal I was after and then Fran went out and found my exact car in 1 day! Next, and much to my happy surprise The folks at Cook came through a second time with financing that topped my credit union making the total cost of the car even less. The whole delivery experience was top notch and no hassles in closing the financing. I would definitely come back to Cook for another car, and in particular, to see Fran for another great experience.
