I was about to leave to take a night to think on it when the manager says he will match the internet price advertised on their own website for 28737.00 and we will give you the spoiler, window tinting, fabric protector etc" so now Im interested and was ready to buy. During this process I kept asking for the number breakdown but iinstead of breaking it down on a purchase order Tyler insisted I fill out a credit application. I unlocked my equifax which was showing 728, I had recently checked all 3 scores which were in the 728-748 range so I had no worries asking for Tier 1 financing which was 0.9%. After signing a few priliminary forms we were placed in the service area to watch TV. We waited for over an hour without anyone checking on us. After an hour and a half we were ready to walk out and were quickly led to the finance guys desk, he had a non welcoming demeanor and attitude like he didnt really care if we bought the car one way or the other. I felt jipped on the "new car buying experience". The finance manager told me he was using Auto 09 scores showing equifax 655, experian 653 and Transunion 748, ok now Im a bit upset, however I qualified for 1.59 financing, ok great was ready to proceed. He told me my payments were over 500.00 per month I again asked for the number breakdown as this just didnt sound right. He proceeded to tell me the price and added onto that the following: owner loyalty bonus 1000, college graduate 600 freight 820, dealer fees 199 of course tax tag and title which is fine but the rest made the purchase price go up more than expected. So I halted the sale and said wait a minute the manager said the price was this now your saying your adding an additional 1600.00? The finance guy didnt move from his seat sat back and said "hey its not my job i have nothing to do with pricing" so I stood up and went over to the managers desk and when I spoke to him he stated he forgot to tell me the deal was only with qualifying for those incentives and I was so furious I walked out. I did receive a phone call back but the manager seemed arrogant saying well your scores were only 655 and one of the financing instiutions we ran you through flat out turned you down. I was so upset by this transaction and how I was treated. I have since aquired my own financing from a credit union who pulled equifax FICO score was 705 (far cry from 655) and I qualified for tier 1 financing and have a check to buy a car. I would strongly urge anyone that is thinking about VW to shop around and go to a less deceptive dealership. Cooks has all bad reviews on yelp.com and online you can google the reviews. Instead of trying to get better reviews they have continued their deceptive non caring practices, honestly I felt degraded, unimportant and left there with a bad impression on VW new car buying experience. I think the oweners of this dealership need a clean sweep of the staff and come up with some policies and standards of conduct because without a good reputation and customer satisfaction you will not do well in business. More

I was given a printed "cash price" (after my credit was ran three times with one agency alone) that was thousands of dollars above the advertised price.
