I brought my car in for a headlight that was not functioning properly due to excessive condensation in the headlight housing. After inspecting the light, they quoted me $3,500 to replace the entire functioning properly due to excessive condensation in the headlight housing. After inspecting the light, they quoted me $3,500 to replace the entire headlight assembly and the headlight ballast. I did my own investigation and found that only the headlight control unit was damaged; the assembly and ballast were fine (I also mentioned this control unit as possibly being damaged when I brought my car to them for diagnosis). I then asked about getting just the headlight control unit for replacement, and they never responded to my request. So: 1. They charged me $180 to tell me I need $3,500 in repairs 2. The suggested repairs were incorrect, and the single unit that needed replaced is significantly cheaper than $3,500. 3. They never responded to my request for the replacement unit. I ended up fixing it all myself for a couple hundred dollars. More
