2019 Slams Brakes on While Driving Safety Alert! Faulty sensors in 2019 VW Tiguan SEL jams brakes without cause. Neftin refuses to provide service or refund when car goes rogue. Nine Safety Alert! Faulty sensors in 2019 VW Tiguan SEL jams brakes without cause. Neftin refuses to provide service or refund when car goes rogue. Nine days after purchasing our brand new 2019 Tiguan SEL, the Front Assist function began malfunctioning, unpredictably slamming on the brakes while we were driving. More than once this left us stranded in the middle of busy intersections. We immediately brought these issues to the attention of the dealership. The Service Manager’s response was particularly stunning: “Didn’t you Google this before you bought it?” He went on to say, “the vehicle is acting as designed…it is unfixable”. He explained that the Front Assist sensors are “seeing” the ground when we drive across a gutter or dip, such as exiting a parking lot and pulling onto the roadway. The car responds by jamming the brakes in the middle of traffic, and requires us to take the car out of drive and return it to drive before we can move forward. We are seriously concerned for our safety and the safety of others. Neftin refuses to return our calls. We are now dealing with the corporate office of VW, trying to get some help. We are also getting help from a VW dealership in the valley, whose service department was able to recreate this problem multiple times during a test drive. We are hopeful they will do the right thing. DO NOT BUY FROM NEFTIN. AND DO NOT BUY ANY VW WITH FRONT ASSIST. More

Had to be could not get simple leak repaired. Leak was in radiator and also auxiliary water pump. On first appointment, radiator was not in stock. Had to be special ordered. They required that I pay for the radiator first before they ordered it. On second appointment, the auxiliary pump was not in stock. They wanted to special order it, wanted me to pay for it first, and wanted me to come back for a third appointment. I refused. Too many delays. How does a dealer not have basic parts in stock? Car was never repaired.by this dealer. More

"SCAM ARTISTS" short and simple. If you are planning on buying a VW from Neftin DONTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! I bought a certified Pre-owned 2006 Passat and it has been nothing but problems. Thei planning on buying a VW from Neftin DONTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!! I bought a certified Pre-owned 2006 Passat and it has been nothing but problems. Their power-tran warranties only last for 65,000 miles which is usually how long you have until they start emptying you bank account to fix a simple problem. They test your knowledge about mechanics and if your an innocent human being that has no knowledge on the matter they will invent problems to fix. They change and replace everything but the real defect. They claim that the only thing they go by is the codes that their computers give. I guess the mechanics at Neftin don't have to use their brains, knowledge and experence to eliminate the codes that don't make sense. They fix things by trial and error which turns out being an error. Not to mention Bruce not knowing his real position whether he is a service rep. or the service manager. I was tested by Bruce and told that my vehicles cam-shaft and and high pressure fuel pump needed to be changed coming to a total of $2000. I denied them permission to do anything until i got a second opinion from a family mechanic. After doing some research and calling other VW dealerships I come to find out that the camshaft and fuel pump were both covered by a warranty extension that I qualified for. I confronted Mr. Bruce about this issue and he had no choice but to back pedal and fix the matter at hand. I was irate at the fact that if i didn't do more research that i would have paid these people to fix the problem. Bruce did not want to deal with me anymore and that is when he revealed his true position and passed me onto the real service manager Mark. You would think that someone in Marks position would be willing to do whatever it takes to satisfy a customer that has been a victim of his staffs lies and deception. But he turned out to be one of the same. He claimed that he was going to state some specifics on the work order that we agreed on and come to find out that was BS as well. I did not want to take my vehicle until he changed the type on what we agreed too. As expected from scam artists, Mark told me that it is not his problem anymore since i singed for the vehicle already and if i didn't take the vehicle and something happens to it he is no longer responsible. After all that the car was also diagnosed to find out why the airbag and parking brake lights were triggered. Mark claimed that it was because of a defective ABS system that would cost $1500 to replace. As you probably know that was a lie as well. I hope that by reading this as well as the other reviews you come to change your mind about buying any vehicle from Neftin!!!!! Save your time, money and blood pressure! PS: They did all this to a 21 Year old college student who can't afford to be takin advantage of! More
Beware of the Neftin Westlake service department. I Beware of the Neftin Westlake service department. I will try not to make this long, however, I would be doing a disservice to VW owners by not sharing my horrible experience at Neftin. I bought my 04 Passat from Neftin after trading in my 98 Passat. I was planning on Leasing a 08 Passat from Neftin at the end of my Lease last month. Just weeks before i was to turn it in, the Stop Engine Immediately light came on and shortly after, the car started grinding and rattling. I brought the car over to Neftin and they wanted over $500 just to diagnose the problem. I was pretty frantic since i was turning in the car for the end of the lease. I asked them if these engines had issues and i was told they would run forever. After i gave permission to have them drop the oil pan, I started to research the problem. Neftin came back and said sludge had messed up the bottom part of the engine (crank shaft) and worked it's way to the top part of the engine, and that I needed a new engine ($7.5K) Well, the rest is history.... I found all of the posts about the sludge problems, extended warranty, and all that had tried to fight and lost. I called Jayson at Neftin and asked about the problems, and the warranty. He said there was no extended warranty. After I called him on it, he said there was an extended warranty but my VIN number was out of the covered range. TOTAL BLATANT LIES I then called VW of America and was told that my car would be covered if i had all of the service receipts since it was an 04. The VIN number had nothing to do with the warranty range. The next day, Jayson called me and told me that i had to come and pick up my car and pay the $500+ bill. I told them that i had an open complaint the VW and would not pick up the car until it was settled. I was then put on the phone with the Service Manager and he proceeded to yell and strong arm me by telling me that I was a lair, that I did not have my service receipts, and that he owned my car until i paid up and picked it up. So I turned in 14 receipts and my claim was promptly denied. I paid the money to get my car out and brought it to another mechanic. My mechanic pulled pulled the engine and checked for sludge damage. Guess what! No sludge in the oil pan, no bad crank. In fact, the oil pan had not been removed at all. The factory sealant was still there and there was no pan gasket (which i paid for as part of the VW service). The problem was with the top end of the engine. Needless to say, I am still out thousands of dollars, but i am filing charges against Neftin next week. It is complete BS that they treat their clients like that. I was an 8 year Passat owner and was ready to go into another Passat release. From this experience, i will never own a Passat again, and I would certainly never recommend Nefitn to anyone. So it is great that Neftin is supporting the VW community, however when you need them, be assured that they will just try to screw you!! The shame is, i really liked the new Passat. So now Audi has my business and I have a new A4. More

First visit they thought it's the catalytic converter, so they replaced it. They said they tested drive the car and did not hear the noise anymore. NOT!!! The car still has the noise!!! Even louder! Brought back the car. Steve clearly tried to avoid me the second time. So I talked to the second guy. After few hours, I got call from them saying that the noise is normal. I did not hear the noise before and now it's there, how come it's NORMAL?! They could not find the source and just say NORMAL. Watch out, people! More
My fiance recently busted her lower radiator hose on an 02 Passat and so we had it towed to Neftin. I have driven only toyotas and hondas in the past 15 years and have had excellent experience with dealer 02 Passat and so we had it towed to Neftin. I have driven only toyotas and hondas in the past 15 years and have had excellent experience with dealer service. Now I know why I wouldn't by a VW. First, they charged $100 just to look at the car. Then, the recommded over $1200 worth of unnecessary service to my fiance (including new engine mounts.) When I got on the phone and asked about the radiator, they said they didn't have the hose. I said I'd go to NAPA and get one for them. Long and short, they took 5 days to replace a hose, charged over $300 and then stole CD, cash and other items out of the car! It was a horrible experience and I tell everyone I know to avoid them as a dealership. More
The only reason for the 2 on friendlyness is that they smile when they're lying to you.

I recently had my car in for it's 30K service at Neftin VW in Thousand Oaks. When I asked why the problem was not present before I brought it in the first time, I was told "the problem tires were on the front, where there is more weight, so you wouldn't feel it". I now know that this was completely untrue.
