Got Exactly What I Wanted I’d been dreaming of a Golf R for years but assumed there was little chance of actually getting my hands on one before they were all snatched up. But, as it turns out, recently I was in the market for a GTI and heard that a few local dealerships had received the R. I called up South Coast VW and spoke to Holly Setiadi, who told me they indeed had an R in stock. He was absolutely awesome giving me the specs and sending me pictures of the car. The very next morning he showed me a black 2016 Golf R and with no pressure -- letting the car sell itself -- I got my R! Holly is one of the most friendly, genuine, and efficient sales people I’ve ever dealt with. I told him what I wanted and that’s what he gave me, period. Closed the deal: no-muss no-fuss. We were planning on buying a new smaller Passat for the family and went to the dealer back in February. After that some family issues happened and we could not go and make the purchase. However, Mr. Setiadi kept in touch with me and informed us every time when there is a sales event to get the better price. We went to the dealer a week after the labor day sales event but Mr. Seitiadi still gave us the labor day sales event deal, which is great since it is $1000 off. Finally we made the purchase with the help of Mr. Setiadi, and Mr. Ren, who is also speaking Mandarin Chinese. This shopping experience went very well and we really appreciate both Mr. Setiadi and Mr. Ren's help. Oh, also btw Mr. Ren also gave us free window tinting upgrade so also many thanks to him. More

On the day that I went he was already left, but he assigned Marco Montero who also did a great job with me trying his best with his managers to lower my monthly payments and give me the deal close to my budget. We almost spent 3 hours negotiating the deal and he was so patient and professional when dealing with me. After a very bad experience at Ontario Volkswagen the previous day, walking into the South Coast VW dealership was a totally different experience. Respect and professionalism is what we saw here. They do not walk around the parking lot hunting for customers, their philosophy is that the more you show respect to the customer, the happier everybody will be in the end. Dustin was amazing. He spent time with us, gave us a tour to present their new facility (the newest in the world at this time!) and made sure all our questions are answered. He was amazing at listening and trying to work things out so that we can walk out as happy customers. And we didn't walk, we drove out!
