Boy where do I start. I've been going to this dealership for years, but after my recent experience, I wouldn't go here if it was the last dealership in the valley.. 2 m I've been going to this dealership for years, but after my recent experience, I wouldn't go here if it was the last dealership in the valley.. 2 months ago I was ran off the road by an angry driver, and due to some other accidents I had the year prior, it made more sense to pay for the repairs out of pocket. Now, I know these are german cars and I know they're expensive to repair, especially a 2022 GTI.. Knowing how many of these cars are even on the road, it's slim pickings for parts and availability. I'm an enthusiast so I knew what I was getting into when buying the car, no less repairing it. With that out of the way, I brought it to the dealership I originally bought it from (VW North Scottsdale), to get an estimate and mainly try and save some money by using a wheel and tire package I bought with the car. The wheel and tire package (warranty) was an add-on that was sold to me, which was supposed to cover me if anything (and the finance manager really emphasized 'anything') happened to them, and would cover up to a certain amount. Paying out of pocket, I thought that maybe this would save me quite a bit of money-however I wouldn't know until they ran a full diagnostics to see what the damage was. Within a week, I was told that it would have to go down to the collision shop for further assessment, and after they sent me out their first estimate, I was told it should be back to me within a month. Fair enough.. In the meantime, they supplied a loaner, and so I was on my merry way. Meanwhile, throughout that month, I received 0 communication from my service manager, 0 communication from the collision shop, and 0 call backs from them. The estimate they sent over to me originally was incomplete (finding out now), it had contained less parts than the rebuild needed, and hadn't included other "fees" that weren't previously discussed.. Long story short, it took them over 2 months to get parts to the collision shop, they kept the car outside the entire time, and seemingly rushed to get the car finished when their service manager started asking questions as to why the car was still even there. I had to be lyfted down to the collision shop to pick it up, only to find my car had two months worth of dust and debris, and had been stashed away in the shop to where they lost it. They ended up charging me 2k more than the original estimate, and they couldn't even source all of the parts to get my car back on the road, I had to find people with spare parts that would be willing to sell me theirs to get mine on the road. Not to mention, the person who was handling my car didn't have a clue about anything VW, and made me feel pretty uncomfortable when she was discussing my car.. Now, I nearly lost it looking at how bad my car looked, but was even more disappointed when I tried breaking and heard loud vibrating noises coming from the front right breaks. Owning these kind of cars, I know what happens when the car sits for two months without any stress from the breaks being released, it warps the rotors, and ruins the break pads.. Well, calling these yahoos today, decided to blame me for why the car sounds the way it does (when I'm covered under a manufacturer warranty for this), and decided to try and make me feel bad for bringing the car to them? This place has definitely gone downhill over the years, having dealt with it for way too long. I'm sick and tired of these guys getting away with treating customers like crap, and getting away with it. Anyways, please take my experience as a warning for anyone considering buying a new car with these guys, or getting your car serviced, there's better in the valley! More
