I was charged $85.00 to tell me my hood release handle was broken--which I already knew. The part was ordered and I was told to return to have the new handle put on for $76 parts and another $88 labor! I was broken--which I already knew. The part was ordered and I was told to return to have the new handle put on for $76 parts and another $88 labor! I was told the hood could not be opened but I saw a 19 second video on You Tube and was able to open the hood myself when I got home. On returning, they told me I needed a new right-sided hood latch for $113 and wanted $439 labor to install it. After all that, they gave me back a car with the left-sided release mechanism broken! Beware their service department!! More
If you miss car dealerships with old fashioned high pressure sales this is the place for you! Our sales man was David. We came to test drive a Ford Flex. The sales man talked us into trying a us pressure sales this is the place for you! Our sales man was David. We came to test drive a Ford Flex. The sales man talked us into trying a used 2018 Ford Expedition. We fell in love with the Expedition, but not having any information we wanted to research. David pushed for us to come in just to see roughly what monthly payments would be. We got the numbers and I let him know I wanted to research the vehicle since we came in for an entirely different car. David said he would let us talk in his office, he went over to his sales manager and comes back after less than 5 minutes (No time for us to really discuss anything). He asks me what I want to research he has a computer right there. I tell David I want to read the carfax and consumer reports in depth before purchasing. David pulls up some of the things and starts reading the information off real fast. I let him know he was talking too fast and I wanted to read the screen. So we asked for a paper version of the carfax and sticker information with features in the vehicle. David got a bit short with me saying he cannot print that information out. As we are questioning why we couldn't get print outs another sales guy comes in looking for the keys to take the same car we were looking at on a test drive. I said sure let him take the keys and go. David interrupts me and tells the guy the car was sold, we were buying it. The other sales man leaves and David starts bad mouthing his coworker saying how rude it was for the other sales man when he knew we were in there getting ready to buy that car. I replied that we had not come in expecting to buy a car, so I did not care if others were looking at it, saying there are always other cars like it, if someone else gets the car no big deal. David cut me off telling me I should be upset that the guy knew better and started complaining again that he was showing our car to someone. (The whole thing seemed like an over the top act to trick us, and for the record the acting was horrible.) I was done after that, I wanted to leave, and told him we were going to sleep on it. We had been at the dealership for 5 hours at that point I wanted to go home and research Expeditions. I went to get my son out of the dealership play room. My husband was standing at the entrance waiting for us to leave when he got swarmed by David and his sales Manager Lou pushing him to buy the car that day. I walked up to them telling him my name didn't have to be on the paperwork they could do it through just his income. Lou sees me and says my husband really likes this car. They tell me Loud had told my husband he could do an extended test drive for three days with no commitment. (Thst is standard on used cars in California it is a grace period after purchase). I again said we will talk it over at home and Lou pushes for us to take it home that night assuring me no commitment to buy. I figured well it will let us know for sure if this is what we want and I can research in that time before we buy. We get in the cubicle to sign the paperwork to do our extended test drive. I noticed we are signing papers for dmv, registration, payment plans, etc we are filling the paperwork for purchasing. I asked if we could get up or take a few minutes to talk in private and was told just a few more papers to sign, no commitment just save us the hassle when we decided to keep the 56k car.... I left livid after the paperwork was signed, my husband and I agreed as they went to get the keys, they had just tricked us into buying the car... I figured if it was a good deal like the dealership said we would end up keeping it. To our surprise we found the same vehicle with less miles from another ford dealer in LA "certified" for 8.5k less that evening. Actually we found dozens of the same vehicle with the same features anywhere from 2k to 9k less than the 56k signed for. So we were going to go up return the car or negotiate a better deal based on other prices we saw. I called the next day to let David know we were headed back and were 10 minutes away wanting to talk about the car. David was no where to be found when we showed up. After 45 min my husband asked Lou what we were waiting on, Lou replied we needed to speak with David. When my husband spoke with Lou made the comment that he thought we were ready to buy and were just wanting to get a feel for driving. So I guess David misled Lou as well. They paged David 5 times and after an hour of waiting I told my husband we are just going to return it after all this mess. David finally arrives, never said more than two words, no handshake, no eye contact, he seemed like he was pouting. David just walks us to where we filled out the paperwork. (So not sure why we couldn't of done that ourselves, I guess we needed to see David mope.) So that night I left this previous review, the next day we were contacted by the owner or vice president of the dealership stating he had spoken personally with the sales team, reprimanded then, and told us this is not how Vista Ford treats customers. He tells my husband he will work with us on the vehicle for a more competitive price and if it sold he would help us find something else. He then insinuated that if he helped us we would help him by removing my review. He seemed legitimately concerned so I removed the review. We were told buyers were going to an Enterprise car auction so they will look for a similar vehicle. Days go by without hearing from anyone. My husband contacts the owner/vp and was told that Lou will call him when they find something. Meanwhile I start getting a huge influx of random sales calls, someone signs up the email I used on the dealership paperwork for a ton of spam emails, and my identity is stolen with someone opening credit accounts for auto loans and credit cards. (Not saying it was Vista Ford's fault for this, but it was pretty convenient timing) Two weeks pass, and I realize that the credit inquiry grace period is about to run out. Two days later I find the same vehicle certified used from another Ford dealer 2018 Platinum Ford Expedition for 38k. (We have an amazing experience with that dealership and love our car.) Fast forward three months, I completely forgot about the review I took down until I needed to get my oil change. I dreaded having to deal with Vista Ford again. I realized I did not want anyone else to go through what happened to us. So for anyone buying a vehicle or needing service NEVER go to Vista Ford in Oxnard or Thousand Oaks. I would NEVER trust their employees or management to even adjust my mirror. It is 2020 there are better ways to buy a car than from a pushy, dishonest, and sleazy dealership like Vista Ford of Oxnard. More

Gre Contacted them via internet about a car for sale. 2019 mustang with aftermarket rims and tires. Made sure I was getting quote WITH rims and tires. Great price double checked with a screenshot of car and asked if it included rims and tires, I was assured it did. Bought a plane ticket and made arrangements at work to get down there for the deal. A mere 7 hours before the flight a salesperson sent me a picture I had requested on a totally different item and I see that they had switched out tires and rims. They fumbled around but at the end of the day after talking to management and everyone else they would not honor their deal. Weak sauce dealership with poor leadership. I bet the have a ton of poster around the dealership with pictures of mountain climber with cheesy captions like “ integrity “ and “teamwork”. At the end of the day they are just another crappy dealership out to take your buck. More

We were lined up in front of a locked gate, the entrance gate. Then all of the sudden the exit gate opens up and a dozen cars started driving through it. At first i thought it was employees then realized that everyone was going to service. Not sure where all the cars were lined up, it like they knew that gate open up first. Really messed up! The first in line looked at me in shock, i decided to leave, not about to line up behind all those xxx holes that cut in front of us. The i’m sure Oxnard Ford knows this is happening, or maybe they need to hire smarted people to open the gate in order. More
Rip off I just purchased a used car from this dealership 3 months ago. A Lexus HS 250h the battery on this vehicle whent bad after talking with Chris Peru the I just purchased a used car from this dealership 3 months ago. A Lexus HS 250h the battery on this vehicle whent bad after talking with Chris Peru the used car manager and informed him of the issue with the battery he assumed that it was my fault for the battery going bad, you left a charger on left a light on etc. Although I had previously explained that I had eliminated all these possibilities of why the battery was not holding a charge, he informed me that since I purchased the vehicle 3 months ago the battery was no longer their problem I find it very hard to believe that this so called reputable ford dealer would not honor the faulty battery on the vehicle they sold me because it’s been over 30 days. If I was going to purchase a new or old vehicle I would not buy from this dealership once your done doing business with them they don’t care about the product they sold or their customers. So a day later after I wrote this review a found out from a Lexus dealer the ford dealership sold me a discontinued vehicle that I can’t get a battery for in the US so I’m going to let the vehicle get repoed by the bank More
Terrible service department I have gone to this service department several times and each time I am shocked at how terrible their customer service is. They are HORRIBLE at commun I have gone to this service department several times and each time I am shocked at how terrible their customer service is. They are HORRIBLE at communicating well with customers and keeping customers informed about time frames and expectations, never have enough employees, and always act like they have something more important to be doing than talking to you. It's always busy there but you'll never feel like a priority. More
