Day long oil change I brought my car in to Melody at 7:30am for an oil change and a quick inspection. I finally get called at around 3:30pm and Barry informs me I will need differential fluid change and new rear struts to the cost of $1600. I asked about the oil change and he said that's on the radar and there is corrosion on battery. I turned down the struts and stated to finish the oil change and clean the battery. Barry was not communicative in calling me at noon to tell me my car will not be ready for another 3 hours and that the person doing inspection had other cars in front of mine to look at even though I was one of the first few there in the morning. If customer satisfaction is one of their primary goals I certainly did not experience it. What a downer. More

We asked sale man if we can test drive Sequoia and the sale man refused us and told us his manager said we can test drive it if we are buying it, he doesn't want his new Sequoia add more mileage on it unless we are buying it for sure. Both of us immediately walk out that dealer. Stay away from that dealer. More

They also attempted to assert themselves physically to make me feel "small" and "submissive". These guys are the absolute worst. I can't believe I wasted so much time at their dealership. They were non-communicative, terrible at customer service, and generally chauvinists. I ended up going to Toyota Town in Stockton. I was treated with respect and they had excellent customer service. I purchased my new SUV - cash in hand. You guys are fools Melody. Hopefully this is the last time to treat an educated woman with such little respect. You missed out on a quick sale. More
We bought a van a month ago and the check engine light came on. We called Melody Toyota about this and they totally welcomed us back to find out what the problem was with the van. Chris Knight and Brandon made me feel like family from the moment i pulled into the parking lot. Its crazy, as soon as I got there, they were already waiting to help me! I was put through to Robert who interrupted my every other word. I continued speaking with him because I was very interested in the car and had spent a fair amount of time researching the year/model for reliability. He assured me the car had not been sold and suggested I call his cell phone before heading over to make sure it was still there before I drove all the way down (I was coming from Concord). I did as he suggested and called his cell phone and he again confirmed the car was still available. I spent 45 minutes driving down there and when I got there, another man tried to help me. I let him know who I was waiting for and the car I was interested in. It turns out this gentleman (not Robert) was the manager. First he tried directing me to a Lexus SUV (not the ES300). Then he directed me to the ES330. Seriously, if you're the manager, shouldn't you know what a Lexus ES300 looks like?? Then he tells me the car is sold. Now I'm pissed. I called Robert and he assures me the car is still there and he's sending over one of his associates. His associate arrives and tells me the first salesperson I spoke to was the manager and if he says the car is sold, then it is sold. That's just fantastic. I tried calling Robert again and suddenly he doesn't pick up the phone. His associate tries calling him with the same result. Then he tries paging Robert (he was in a different lot) and still Robert will not answer. Thank you Melody Toyota & Robert for wasting an hour and a half of my time. At the beginning, we didn't want to give offer, but salesman kept inviting us to office. After negotiated to his manager, we got an offer and was told "this is the offer for today". We told him we would make decision in 1 or 2 days and left. At 5:00pm, we decided to buy it and called salesman. She then called manager and told us that her manager didn't agree the offer any more, and asked for $1000 up. I also called the amnager and he added $3000 to original offer and said the original offer was a "mis-communication". This "mis-communication" is impossible bacause we negociated the price serveral rounds and the salesman knew that. I am very surprised at the way they do business: I don't care they reject my offer, but I believed they should keep their offer! This is a very bad experice and I will never go to this shop! More
Supposedly, this is rated as the cheapest and best dealership in the Chinese newspapers. So I went to visit them. Then, I walked into the sales area and literally stood there for 5 minutes until the guy behind the counter asked me if I have been helped. I was already pissed by now and then I said no. He said, "well, there's only 1 hour left." I was thinking...if I was a sales person, I would go all out and help the customer. then i walked away and they sent another sales person after me. it was ridiculous! I don't understand why they feel they can get away with this bad service? My recommendation i to do all the negotiating via email or on the phone. I haven't had one decent experience yet. More
This dealership really knows how to rip you off and use sleezy tactics to get you to buy a car from them. They are un-ethical and dishonest. I went in looking for a car and this saleguy kept asking me what I wanted as the price of the car and when I told him I wanted $4K off MSRP and I had a trade-in, he came back that if I wanted that much off MSRP (EVEN THOUGH THEY ADVERTISED IT), I would get less for my trade-in. I could accept that if it wasn't for the fact that the value they gave me for my trade-in was LESS THAN HALF of the trade-in value from the Kelly Blue Book! He told me that I would get more for my trade-in if I was willing to take less off MSRP. I proceeded to leave the dealership but then ran into the desk where they had the AAA fleet sales guy and asked him what pricing he had and he quoted me something that was about $3200 off MSRP but of course there would be no dealership discount and when I asked what the trade-in would be, he said it would be the same price as what the other sales guy told me. I said that the other sales guy never gave a real price for the trade-in since he gave me a value of the trade-in based on the price I wanted for the car. He was very rude after that and basically told me that the trade-in value was what I was given. As I was driving out of the lot, one of the other managers came running after me and told me that he wanted my business and to tell him what happened. After I told him, he proceeded to ask me to wait 5-10 minutes so he could see what happened with the trade-in and when he came out, he quoted me a trade-in value for my car twice over what the original price was! I was very angry at this point but he apologized and said he wanted my business and would do anything to get that. Needless to say, I did not buy the car from them. They are dishonest and really sleezy and their salespeople are rude! I don't know what games they are playing, but I will never go back to this dealership and will spread the work of how awful they are anywhere I can. More
