W We had a great experience at Victoru Subaru. The salesmen are friendly and open to work with your budget while keeping your wants and needs in mind. We worked with Chris Sisco who is a great salesman that can tell you anything you need to know about their cars. We ended up purchasing a new 2020 Subaru Forester Sport and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Victory Subuaru over other local Subaru dealerships if you're looking to buy a Subaru. More

Best Subaru Dealership - MARCUS BEJAR Best in Sales Victory Subaru, Somerset, NJ is an outstanding dealership with a full complement of professional, personable staff members in all capacities … managem Victory Subaru, Somerset, NJ is an outstanding dealership with a full complement of professional, personable staff members in all capacities … management, sales, customer service, car service, et al. I visited three other Subaru dealerships within central Jersey and this dealership exceeded all of the others with friendliness, patience, not rushing me to close a deal, willingness to listen to all of my concerns, professional atmosphere, good stock, fully capable service department, and the best price and most value for the money of all the dealerships, beating True Car and Costco prices. When I walked through the front door, I was greeted by a smiling receptionist at the front desk plus MARCUS BEJAR, a Certified Sales Associate. Within 10 minutes, both Anthony Melia, Sales Manager, and Michael Antonelli, General Sales Manager, introduced themselves, and we all discussed what I was looking for in a vehicle. Intermittently, both Anthony and Michael worked directly with me and MARCUS to develop a car package that I would have been a fool to not accept. I am not an easy customer and it took a couple of hours, but, that night, I bought my 2020 Legacy Limited from them! Before I left, MARCUS BEJAR introduced me to the Service Department staff, so that I could address any questions or concerns about service for the future. I always try to buy a car, where I am confident in the service department, since most post-sales interactions are with them. The next day, I returned to pick up the car. Since I paid cash, I did not have an extensive interaction with the Finance department, but they did handle the contract and optional extended warranty. Before I left, Mario Lopez, Sales Consultant, introduced himself and offered his services in the future, should I require customer support with any concerns, questions, explanations, or lessons on the car features and capabilities. The entire staff has been fully trained to address customers’ concerns, in all areas, and to make the customers feel that they are important, even after the sale. I left with a wonderful car, an amazing deal, and a great relationship with the dealership staff. I feel confident that my future experience with my Subaru Legacy and Victory Subaru will be positive in every conceivable way. Of special note is the fact that during November, there were 4 specials offered to anyone making a November purchase. These specials added great value to a purchase. Even though I bought my car in early December, when I brought this to their attention, they extended the specials to me, too, saving me a lot of money. They also contributed $250 to the charity of my choice with my purchase. But, the key to my making this sale and to my being a very happy customer is MARCUS BEJAR, the Certified Sales Associate with whom I worked. POST-SALE NOTE: Within a couple of weeks of my purchase, the Service Department came into play. Four accessories that were ordered for my car came into the dealership and had to be installed there. One was a CD player. This was an all-out effort, requiring the service staff to take the console completely apart, move the existing cigarette lighter outlet, install the CD player, rewire everything, and put all the pieces back together. They also installed three other items. They did a wonderful, clean job of installation. Everything looks as if it came that way from the factory. And, they were neat about it. Also, during the 3 plus hours that I chose to stay in the waiting room, rather than using a ‘loaner’ car, Alan Dibella from Service gave me frequent updates to ensure that the installations were going well and as quickly as possible while still maintaining a quality job. I feel confident that anything as easy as an oil change will be a breeze for this skilled group. BEST SALES CONSULTANT - MARCUS BEJAR Without exaggeration, MARCUS BEJAR is the best Certified Sales Associate that I have ever encountered, and I have owned 9 new cars in the past. I had done a lot of research and knew what I wanted. However, based upon my life style, as I explained it to Marcus, he explained why I might consider additional equipment and options. He explained the benefits and import of the Subaru safety features, as well as other standard and optional features. This was important, since my research had not given me complete information. Marcus worked patiently, slowly and professionally with me, and made sure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. I never felt pressured to buy a car. That is important. If I had felt pressured, I would have walked, immediately. I don’t react well to hard sales. Finally, after 2 hours of working with Marcus, and intermittently with Anthony Melia and Michael Antonelli, I bought the car that I really wanted. Before I left, Marcus introduced me to the Service Department staff and showed me the facility, including the waiting room. The next day, I drove the car home for the first time. Marcus spent over 2.5 hours explaining the new safety features, among others. We sat in the car and he pointed out where the different features were located and how they worked. Using the console with its numerous computer screens, windows, etc., he asked my preferences and set up the more common options, and some that were new to me, to my satisfaction. He explained everything inside and outside of the car. He stopped only when I said my head was swimming with information. Marcus assured me that, whenever I had questions about the functionality or more lessons, he would make himself available and would spend as much time as was necessary. He is very proactive. He is equal parts ‘project manager’ and sales person. He does not put boundaries around his responsibilities, but engages in every aspect of sales and post-sales activities. Very proactive! In fact, I bought the car 6 weeks ago, and he has called me at least once a week since then just to see how things were going with the car and if he can further help in any way. As of this writing, Marcus has spent well over 4 hours over three sessions, just teaching me about the features and addressing concerns, answering all questions. And, if he does not have the answers, he finds them out. When asked a complicated question, most sales people will refer me to the manual, the service department or an 800 number. Not Marcus. His attitude is that he benefits from finding out the answers, too, so he is happy to do that. Let me give you examples. 1) There were 4 additional items that had to be installed in my car. He made sure that, even the one item on back order, came in quickly enough so that I had to make only one trip for installation and that was relatively close to the sales date. 2) On the day of the installations, rather than using a ‘loaner’, I chose to wait in the comfortable waiting room. It took over 3 hours for all of the installations, and Marcus checked with Service for progress and gave me regular progress reports, asking if there were anything he could do for me, while I was there. He stayed on top of everything that was going on in Service where my car was concerned. 3) Initially, I bought extended warranty insurance, but cancelled it within a week. It took a long time for the insurance company to send the refund to the dealership so that they could reimburse me. Once Marcus was aware of this, he became involved, and I had my refund check within a week. The insurance company was slow, not the dealership. But, MARCUS moved things along. 4) There was a ding in my car upon delivery. Marcus made sure that the next time that I came in for lessons coincided with the day the man who fixes the dings was present to save yet another trip on my part. He is always thinking ahead and combining tasks to be efficient. 5) After driving the car for one month, road dirt adhered to formerly invisible glue residue on all four wheels. That residue was clear and totally invisible when Marcus and I initially inspected the car. He identified what it was and made sure that the detail shop removed it thoroughly. (This is something that comes from the wheel manufacturer, not from the dealership.) To cut down on my trips into the dealership, he made sure this was successfully addressed the day the above 4 accessories were installed. 6) Marcus called me at least once a week during the first month to check if I had any questions or concerns or anything with which he could help. 7) I could go on, but it would sound contrived and more like the Boy Scout oath. Marcus is THAT GOOD! I cannot say enough about the professional, calm, friendly, proactive, efficient, concerned, thorough approach that Marcus Bejar uses. As stated before, he is equal parts Project Manager and Sales Consultant, and my buying the car and maintaining it is his project. Honestly, it was like any other business meeting I have had in my extensive career in Information Technology. I recommend that people ask for MARCUS BEJAR when they want to buy a Subaru and buy it from Victory Subaru in Somerset. More

When we came in, I told him that this was a car for my wife. He focused on her and was very attentive to her questions, a true gentleman and professional. He and Mario Lopez helped us find the right vehicle and we are very happy with our purchase. The only reason I'm not rating a 5 for Victory is because of our experience in "the back room" to finalize the deal. I felt that the person we dealt with was condescending and disrespected to us by 1) Daring to assume what we could afford to pay. Statements such as, "It's only another $15 per month" and "We need you to put down another $500" after I was transparent and clear from the moment that I walked in the door were extremely insulting. Offering us unsolicited financial advice was another turnoff. 2) After we came to an agreement, he shook my hand and barely acknowledged my wife. The "back room" was a stereotypical auto buying experience. More
