I was looking all over for a WRX that matched my desired specs when I saw one inbound to Victory that ticked enough of the boxes for me. I placed my deposit down and waited excitedly for its arrival. Bilal stayed in contact with me and made sure I was notified immediately when the car arrived at the dealership. When I went to pick up the car, Bilal and Craig made sure to get me through the paperwork as quickly as possible so I could enjoy my new car. I am very satisfied with the service I received. More

As a longtime Toyota owner and respecter of the brand, I naturally first considered buying another one when my 2008 Toyota Highlander with 250K miles needed to be replaced immediately. However, after much naturally first considered buying another one when my 2008 Toyota Highlander with 250K miles needed to be replaced immediately. However, after much research and debate, I decided to consider Subaru, another reputable Japanese brand. Knowing that I needed a comfortable and reliable third-row SUV to accommodate my family, I decided on the Subaru Ascent as my Subie of choice. Fairly new to the brand, the reviews were good, and the safety/tech features were great for the price. As a professional buyer, I wanted to be sure I was making a good decision, so I evaluated the 2021 Subaru Ascent against the 2021 Toyota Highlander, 2021 Volkswagen Atlas and the 2021 Honda Pilot. After a lot of agonizing research and test drives, I was confident that the Subaru was the right choice for me. I would eventually decide on purchasing the Touring trim because I felt like it provided me with everything I wanted and more at an affordable price that was lower than any other car brand at the comparable price/trim. Once I decided on the truck I wanted, the next challenge was locating a trustworthy dealership to purchase the vehicle. As with many things in 2021, inventory on these vehicles was low and demand was high. In my opinion, 2021 was probably not the best year to buy a new/used vehicle, but I didn’t have a choice to my current vehicle situation. I called ten Subaru dealerships within a 100 miles radius of my home, checking on inventory, obtaining quotes over the phone and researching customer reviews. My local dealership, Victory Subaru, located on Route 27 in Somerset, NJ was the first to locate a vehicle that met my specifications and needs. Although Victory Subaru wasn’t the largest of the Subaru dealerships I contacted, I was drawn to their helpful and non-pressuring sales team and to their complimentary lifetime warranty with the purchase of every new Subaru. I initially started my negotiations with one sales member, who candidly told me there wasn’t much wiggle room in the price. Again, as a professional buyer, I understood the current market analysis and probably would have waited to make the purchase had my situation been different. It would take approximately 3 weeks for this vehicle to arrive to the dealership. In the meantime, I was switched to another sales rep after the initial gentlemen abruptly left the dealership. To be honest, this concerned me at first, but as it turned out, the second Sales Consultant, Mr. Bilal Akmals, was a pleasure to work with and honored the pricing of the initial negotiations. Without additional pressure, Bilal presented the additional options and was also willing to give me a fair trade in value for my 2008 Toyota Highlander and even shaved off a few dollars on the purchase of the new vehicle. Due to a limited time constraint, I needed to complete all of the paperwork and sign for the vehicle in less than 1 hour. Bilal was able to make this happen for me. Unfortunately, since I wasn’t able to complete the new vehicle tour of the features, Bilal sent me a training video and called me several times after I left the dealership to see if I had any questions. Bilal also set me up with a free trial of the MySubaru Starlink Security Plus subscription after my initial hesitation with the app. I really appreciated this no-pressure customer service. And to top it off, I received a thoughtful and unexpected hand-written thank you card from Ms. Kassandra Van Bree, the Customer Relations Manager, thanking me for my purchase and offering her assistance if I ever needed help. It has now been almost 2 weeks since the purchase of my new 2021 Subaru Ascent Touring from Victory Subaru on September 22, 2021 and I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. It’s a really comfortable ride and the tech and safety features are amazing. Friends and family members who see the vehicle or ride in it, are also impressed with the purchase. So, after being a longtime Toyota owner, I’m proud to say that I am not part of the Subie family. Subaru’s tagline adequately states, “Love. It’s what makes a Subaru a Subaru.” And I definitely love my new Subaru. So, if you’re in the market for a new or used car or truck, do your research, look around, and then stop by Victory Subaru located in Somerset, NJ. Ask for Sales Consultant, Mr. Bilal Akmals, and tell him Steven sent you! Even in a seller’s market, I promise you that you won’t have buyer’s remorse or regret making this purchase. More
