Great experience at Carter Chevrolet. We have purchased two pre-owned vehicles from Carter Chevrolet in the past five years. This is the third car (over more than a decade) I have bought from Ron Sloan at Carter Chevrolet. Obviously I appreciated both the sales and service experience. Service Advisor Ray Maher knows me, my ca bought from Ron Sloan at Carter Chevrolet. Obviously I appreciated both the sales and service experience. Service Advisor Ray Maher knows me, my car, how I drive, and my service needs. Ray pays attention to my money and keeps service costs down. Ron is an excellent sales professional, knows my interests both in a car and personal. He keeps the sales experience enjoyable and on track and has never tried to sell me anything I did not need or want. I have recommended Carter service to a friend who had an excellent experience even though he did not purchase the car at Carter. More
I recently leased an Equinox from Carter and the entire process was great. From the minute I walked in the door of the dealership to the time I drove away with my new vehicle, there wasn't a minute that I process was great. Craig Fournier was extremely patient with me and knows his products. Paul Koldras & Lou Martin thoroughly explained their lease & finance programs which gave me the information I needed to make my decision to lease rather than buy the vehicle. Carter Chevrolet has a great employees and a great reputation. I would not hesitate to recommend Carter to my friends and family. More
I gotta tell you...I walked into this dealership and was treated with kindness, respect and there was no pressure what so ever. My first contact was Michael...What a nice guy! Right from the get go he assured me they will work with my budget and get me into a safe reliable car. Although at that point they didn't have what I could afford. A week later I contacted Michael again asking about the inventory. He said he'd have someone get right back to me. This is when I spoke with Ron. I drove directly to the dealership after talking with him and he took me out for a couple test drives and I found the perfect car for me. Ron was very kind, personable, and caring for my needs. So we went through the process of applying for financing. I was very nervous because I knew I didn't have any money to put down. When he came back and showed me what they could do for me, I nearly cried. I felt so relieved! This is when I met with Paul. Nice guy! He explained the process and showed me all the details. Scheduled my appointment to pick up my new/used car...The day I went to pick it up, I was treated like I was family. I have never dealt with a dealership that was so genuine! I was pleasantly shocked! I then met with Lou. This is when I had to sign all the paperwork. He explained everything in detail about my financing, warranties, extended warranties, etc. No pressure, no muss, no fuss. I really appreciated what he did for me in regards to explaining the extended warranty. It was like he was trying to convince me, it was more like he had my back on this. They filled up my gas tank, Ron put my plates on, went over the car top to bottom with me and off I went. I totally recommend this dealership! I thank them for helping me with my dilemma. Go Carter! First, Carter's Used Car Internet Site was complete and well done. The inventory was presented with pictures and descriptive text. Prices were listed (No "Call for Pricing" crap). You could use the site to shop and to determine whether they had any inventory of interest. When I called to check on availability of selected vehicles, Kay Doherty was pleasant on the telephone, clearly and courteously answered my questions, and arranged a same day appointment for us to come and see the vehicle we were most interested in. Craig Fournier took over from Kay when we arrived at the dealership and was courteous and helpful explaining the vehicle features and accompanying us on a test drive. Craig was a pleasure to deal with. We would highly recommend Craig to anyone interested in a vehicle from Carter Chevrolet. Craig explained the vehicle had just come in on trade and had not yet been through the Service Department for its checkout. After the test ride, he agreed that brake and front suspension components needed to be checked. We put a deposit on the vehicle and made an appointment to return to pick it up after it had been serviced. When we returned, all of the service items we had identified had been taken care of as well as some additional items that we had overlooked but were found by Service personnel. We were very pleased with the experience and with the vehicle we purchased. (The one exception I would note was the Business Manager's persistence recommending an extended warranty. He eventually accepted our "No Thank You" and in the overall scheme of things this was a very minor distraction in what was otherwise an extremely satisfying car-buying experience.) The warranty was explained well and appears to be comprehensive. Craig also made a point of showing us their Service Department and introducing us to the Service Writers so we would know where to go and who to see when/if we scheduled service. More

To me, Chevy represents durability and practicality in engineering, cost, and design/style. That's what I came in for and that's exactly what I got, and it's because of both Ron's demeanor/knowledge combined with a fully supportive team effort working together on my behalf that made me unquestioningly know that I got the right car in the right place. My husband has to sell the Army to those that already know the Army, the currently serving. Not so different from the expert salesman at this dealership, selling to an old base of supporters who have been through time tested ups and downs with this company. Ron, like my husband, have what I consider to be the most important traits of a successful salesman: knowledge, belief in the product, and integrity. Never once was I handed a line or felt as though I was being manipulated, pressured or pushed into anything other than what I expressed were my conservative needs. I was given frank and honest answers to my questions/inquiries and was consistently treated with patience and respect. All information surrounding the vehicle and purchase of it was laid out and explained fully. Mr. Michael Moore, Sales Manager, was also a gracious host. He readily introduced himself to me, conducting himself with professionalism, courtesy and efficiency to help Mr. Sloan with anything he needed on my behalf without any feeling of an attempt to overshadow or neutralize Mr. Sloans work with me. Mr. Paul Koldras, picked up and performed all ending paperwork with the utmost expertise of a Business Manager. This is truly a great team, a well oiled machine, one that exemplifies what Chevrolet means to generations of American loyalist families. Great and trustworthy people in a comfortable environment.
