I took my 2019 Rav4 to Ventura Toyota for all oil changes since it was new. These free services were included in my lease agreement. We love the car so we purchased it when the 3 year lease was up. As an old mechanic and retired mechanical engineer I decide to do the next oil change myself. I was very disappointed to find there was no compression sealing washer on the oil drain plug. This may not seem like a big thing to the uninformed, after all the drain plug wasn't leaking. But the uninformed would be wrong. Fundamental to ANY professional oil change the washer is ALWAYS replaced, ALWAYS. Installing the plug without a sealing washer will create scratches/grooves in the aluminum alloy oil pan as the oil plug is tightened against it. This will ultimately result in a leak that can't even be rectified by installing a new sealing washer. A simple thing BUT it MUST be done. (I had to select employees in order for this review to be accepted. I don't know who was responsible so I selected the first names on the list. I apologize to them) More
I have been servicing my Toyotas for well over nine years at Ventura Toyota, but specifically with Jennifer Lange. She is the most caring, helpful and knowledgeable representative one can wish for. I rated Carlo and Service Department 5 star because service was speedy and personable at the same time. Carlo worked to get every repair done right. By the new used car and eight days later, the tire pressure reading on the rear tire was 6 pounds less than the rest and kept going down every time I filled it. Waiting for service and an hour and a h pressure reading on the rear tire was 6 pounds less than the rest and kept going down every time I filled it. Waiting for service and an hour and a half later nobody got back to me. I had to go question where my car was and they couldn’t figure out the problem, so I just took it and as I was leaving notice that they didn’t even fill the tire to the proper pressure. After all that time, they didn’t bother to fill the tire for me. I will not return there. More

I have been a long time customer at Ventura Toyota, and I’ve had a great experience for the most part. From the moment I get there I am greeted with smiles throughout my whole service experience . I have that pretty cool email to keep track, service advisors reach out. Everyone is great until the moment I’m ready to pick up my vehicle …. Nine out of 10 times I walk up to the counter and the young girl. “ Miriam” seems to be bothered by my presence or simply pretends like she doesn’t see me and walks away or she’s fiddling with her phone. It’s unfortunate, because in that moment, the great experience that I’ve had all day disappears, and all I remember, is being ignored. Luckily, there’s other friendly faces that are more than willing to help. Thank you Tiari and Alondra for always being kind and helping me with my vehicles. More
