This is the second new vehicle I have purchased from VanDevere Chevrolet since September 2009. This is truly a world class organization. Mike was very helpful and easy to work with. He was funny and made the experience of buying a vehicle a lot easier. Originally bought a vehicle here in February 2011 from Jarod Millar. Jarod told us one price originally, then raised the price over $35 per month in payments once we completed the test drive. We had to play games for more than two hours in order to get the price within $15 in payments per month to what Jarod originally said it would be. Jarod promised us a keyfob, original owner's manual and original floor mats. He also scheduled our first "free" oil change. Three months later, we find that not only was our oil change not scheduled by Jarod, but it wasn't free, either. Apparently, after selling us the vehicle and promising us those things, Jarod was fired, according to the general manager. I can see why. Because of this, we had to have a special meeting with a general manager, Bob Berger, taking up more of our time. He said he would order the parts (keyfob, manual, mats). We never heard anything back and eventually called a month later to find our parts were available. We made the hour drive and picked them up, only to find the floor mats are the generic $10 mats you can find at all of the big box stores, and not only didn't fit, but would be pretty dangerous to put near the pedals considering they didn't fit and could easily get caught within your feet. Did receive an owner's manual and keyfob as promised, even though the keyfob has to be taken to a Mazda dealership to be programmed at additional cost. In short, I'd steer clear of Vandevere. We had to make so many extra phone calls, e-mails and two extra trips and could have gotten the same car at a similar price without the hassle. I'll agree that everyone we've encountered has been really pleasant, but they couldn't get the job done. More

Kim was extremely professional, knowledgable, and easy to work with. He wasn't cheesy or fake like a lot of salesmen I've dealt with before. I was literally walking out the door and getting into my car because I was so frustrated with the other salesman and Kim was kind enough to ask me about my experience and rectify the whole situation. He phoned several different locations and even offered to search down and purchase, at auction, the specific car I wanted with no obligation for me to buy. He listened to exactly what I wanted and didn't try to "pitch" me on anything that didn't apply to my specifications. I'm confident that he will do what he can to help me find my car and get me a good deal. I haven't yet found my perfect car but I'm hoping that when I do, it will be at VanDevere with Kim Young. When I was first meet Kim as my sales rep I knew I was in good handa. He is a very professional young man with a great personality. He was not pushy or made you feel pressured. There was literally NO PRESSURE when we walked in. My son had already been at VanDevere with his friend, so he had experience with Joe. My son stated how much he liked the way Joe treated him, so now it was had already been at VanDevere with his friend, so he had experience with Joe. My son stated how much he liked the way Joe treated him, so now it was my turn to meet Joe. This was my son's first new car buy experience and he wanted me to be there. While Jared test drove some cars, Joe gave me an opportunity to drive also. I loved the Malibu. Jared and I went back a few more times, and over the course of a month, Jared decided to buy the Cruze from Joe. We had been to other dealerships, and did not find the service as satisfactory as at VanDevere with Joe and the rest of the sales force. All were exceptionally friendly and willing to support Joe in his efforts to "sell" a car. When it came to my turn, Joe took Jared and me to the Kia dealership so I could compare Chevy to Kia. I drove the Kia Forte, and found it was not exactly what I wanted, even though the color was right...red. It happens that Jeremiah had done a locate for a red Malibu which was still on the lot. Joe had me drive it, and I loved it. I asked Joe to please not play the pricing game that I have experienced so often at other dealers. The offer came back with a downpayment that I could not manage. Joe then took it back with a downpayment I could manage, and the numbers were good. My son and I made sure it would fit in the budget, and went with the deal. Please understand that I would have been perfectly happy to keep my van for a few more months. The incentives available to buy the Malibu were what swung the deal in favor of the Malibu purchase now. I got a four-year newer vehicle for what I would have had to expend into the van. I have NEVER had such friendly service in a dealership before. Plus, having a male speak directly to me when I was with my son was a new experience...even when I was asking questions about my son's cars of interest. I enjoyed conversation with the whole sales staff, and all shook my hand when I decided to buy. I would definitely recommend VanDevere to everyone...even to the friend who went to Lambert GM and told me to go GM. Thanks so much for a positive experience. More
Kim was johnny-on-the-spot. Called him up, just like last time, got the price down, no bait and switch. I bought the car on the telephone sight unseen.
