UPDATE: We bought our Cruze last year in November from Van Horn Chevy. At first everything was fine but after only a couple weeks of having our car, we noticed some issues and took it in to our local mech Van Horn Chevy. At first everything was fine but after only a couple weeks of having our car, we noticed some issues and took it in to our local mechanic. To our surprise he told us this car had frame damage and some other mechanical problems that should have been fixed before being sold. There was also rust underneath. The Autocheck report we had received from Van Horn was clean and didn't disclose any of this information. When we contacted our salesman Billy, he had us talk to his sales manager who immediately blamed us for the car having problems. He basically said anything could have happened in the time that we had it. Right... Because rust happens overnight... They told us to come in so they could look at the Cruze, which we thought was helpful but it was completely misleading. When we brought in our car, they took it into service and then gave us an estimate for how much it would cost to fix everything they had found wrong. The whole thing turned into a nightmare and a huge disappointment for my wife and me. We had trusted these people and they sold us a car that they knew wasn't fit to drive. We will NEVER go back to this place or any other Van Horn dealership again. Don't waste your money here on their lies and the junk they'll sell you! More

It was a pleasure doing business there. Easy no pressure approach from my salesman Evan. He gave me the info, answered all my questions and let me make the decision on my own without being pushy. Also fast approach from my salesman Evan. He gave me the info, answered all my questions and let me make the decision on my own without being pushy. Also fast and proficient follow up. I was kept in the loop every step of the way. I am impressed with Evans communication and have already told others of my experience there. I would give this dealer my business again should I find myself in need of another vehicle. More
We are return customers. This is the third vehicle we have bought from the Van Horn group. They have always treated us very well each time. From the first initial call to coming in to test drive to the p have bought from the Van Horn group. They have always treated us very well each time. From the first initial call to coming in to test drive to the paperwork, the customer service has ALWAYS been outstanding! We were able to build our credit back up after filing for bankruptcy in 2003 when we bought our first car from Van Horn. Since then we have bought 2 more and will continue to come back when we're ready for another vehicle. We love working with the people here, especially Bryan!! Everyone is friendly and courteous and you feel like they actually care. We have never had any problems and if there was an issue they always took responsibility and dealt with it promptly and professionally. We are customers for life and would recommend the Van Horn dealerships to anyone. THANK YOU Van Horn, and thank you Jason and Sunny at Van Horn Chevy for another outstanding experience! More
I have purchased many cars over my lifetime and the experience I enjoyed with Billy O. at Van Horn Chevy in Plymouth Wisconsin was by far the best. His customer focus and desire to serve was second to experience I enjoyed with Billy O. at Van Horn Chevy in Plymouth Wisconsin was by far the best. His customer focus and desire to serve was second to none. Service was fast, friendly, and straight to the point with none of the pressure and hassle you typically get at other dealerships. I didn't want to spend all day buying a car and really appreciate that the people at Van Horn valued my time. If you want a genuine no-nonsense experience at a dealer that does their business upfront..then I recommend buying a car from Billy at Van Horn Chevrolet. Thanks, Phil More
Bad: The key situation (see below) Good things: Wayne Bad: The key situation (see below) Good things: Wayne was a pleasure to work with Moderately Not Great Things: Still felt like the same old car Bad: The key situation (see below) Good things: Wayne was a pleasure to work with Moderately Not Great Things: Still felt like the same old car purchasing cra** even though we are in an internet age! See the second last paragraph on making sure you ask about keys up front**** Bought a used 2012 Equinox LTZ which was a nice vehicle and admittedly the price was very competitive. (I drove an hour from the Milwaukee area to look at it). I was feeling a bit stressed about the process. We kind of had the idea given to us by the people at the dealership that times have changed with car buying and internet use and what you see priced is what you get. But, I feel like some other things have not changed like the silly shenanigans of ''and just for you I can offer this special discount coupon on...'';. I just wanted to buy my vehicle and leave and I made it very clear up front that I didn't need to hear the spiel on extended warranties, financing, whatever but still ended up having to have the attempts made. Ok, well, Wayne was pleasant enough to deal with and I really did appreciate that after the whole deal was done, he could have just said bye and had me on my way but I had a question about something on the car and he went outside and actually sat with me in the car for like 5 minutes and showed me the stuff on the crazy entertainment system and spent time going over all those little bells and whistles that are hard to think about when you are looking at everything else on the car. So, for Wayne, he gets a 5 star in my book. At the end of everything while plates were being placed on the car they did this weird thing having me leave a comment on a laptop about my experience (which I did but it just felt odd). So, I imagine it will end up on their website or some other website. Lastly, apparently I am ignorant in the art of used car purchasing. Even though the car is a year old or less, actually. I never thought to ask about whether I would receive a second key. Kind of thought or assumed or really never even entered my mind. I was getting ready to leave after they put the plates on and they handed me the key and I said, ''oh, isn't there another key''; which I was told that there was not. So I then asked how much they would cost and the response was ''around $50 ''. They keys are the all-in-one transponder key. So, I was pretty disappointed in that and knew it was really too late for me to do anything about it. I was a nervous wreck until I could get a new, duplicate key. I called the local Chevy dealer, (Holz, what a scam or maybe they all are) and the guy told me it would be $75 for a key and another $40 to program them! What?!?!?! And, I know in the world of the fancy key that is not even that bad of a price. But, I called around and a local locksmith, Whitlow Security (wonderful by the way), made duplicates for $50 each and that was with the ''programming''. Got two and they both work great like the original (yeah Whitlow, your my next review) will never bring my vehicle to Holz now. Just left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I was torn about the review rating but I was definitely not thrilled about the process and even less-so about the key situation. The key was what pushed me to giving this a 3 star (fair) overall rating. It just made everything worrysome until I could procure one (took the fun out of having a new vehicle). I purchased the vehicle for $25k cash and can't even get another key! ***UPDATE 10/24/12***the day after I posted this reveiw, I was contacted by Shannon from the dealership. Shannon was very apologetic and wanted to correct the issue by reimbursing me for my duplicate key. I really appreciated their prompt contact. I really had no idea that they would even do that! So, true to her word, she did cover the cost of the key. I did not really hear whether my expectations were off wanting a second key. Or, is that normal procedure for them but she still wanted to make it right for me. Either way, I am happy that this was taken care of. I wasn't expecting it especially after the sale of the car so it was a pleasant surprise. Thanks you! More
Found Acadia on autotrader.com. Looked great with a great price so I talked with Sales Manager about a dozen times. Its about a 4 hour ride so I wanted to be sure. I was told its spotless. When I got there i price so I talked with Sales Manager about a dozen times. Its about a 4 hour ride so I wanted to be sure. I was told its spotless. When I got there it had a flat tire and all 4 windows where scratched worse than I have ever seen. We were going to leave when salesman came out with 2010 Acadia for a little bit more but looked alot better. Was told it was in very minor accident and was show clean car fax.accidents happen but I would think they would be inspected. Took it home and went on 2 summer trips with everything working perfect. Being short on time I decided to bring it through the car wash for the first time.I always wash mine by hand. The rear side window on drivers side and the rear passenger door both leaked water quite well. BUYER BEWARE.Probably nothing I can do but wondering if leaking window is a safety issue that could compromise the structural safety? Was told that the rear drivers side was in (minor)accident.Searching internet I have found several complaints of the same nature from this dealer. Last week me and my wife went in to Joe Van Horn Chevrolet to look at used vehicles cause we were looking for a vehicle better suited to trans port our granddaughter in than our extended cab truck. Chevrolet to look at used vehicles cause we were looking for a vehicle better suited to trans port our granddaughter in than our extended cab truck. Nick turned us on to a used Chevy Cruze with extremely low mileage. After a nice test drive, Nick answered our questions very well and started the ball rolling with the financing aspect of the purchase. Needless to say, we were guided through the whole process as painlessly as possible, signed the paperwork and were able to drive away a short while later in our new car. none of this would have been possible without the great work of Nick and Travis.Definitely coming back for my next vehicle purchase. Thank-you all! More
