There is a new deputy sheriff at Van Horn Chevrolet, Logan Wight, and his internet sidekick, Elizabeth Miller. Seven hours away, in Iowa, he did the impossible because my internet was broken. He wrangled ways to send a car fax, pictures, other documents, and carried on extensive negotiations for the sale of a 2023 GMC 2500 HD Denali with 10,400 miles. This was a GMC buyback because of a transmission issue, which raised warranty and other issues as well. And Logan even got the dealership to fill the 35 gallon diesel tank for my 'free' trip back to Iowa, a 14 hour round trip. At the top of the sales and service mountain are the few, like Logan and Elizabeth, who go the extra miles to close the deal and send the customer home fully satisfied. And a shoutout to the business office manager who, while pregnant and swamped by end of month closings had me back on the road in less than one hour. On Star done. Sirius radio done. Walk thru of all vehicle bells and whistles with my second "driver' son done. And while I will miss the free oil changes for life due to distance from the dealership, the tank full of diesel was a great bonus.
