Buying a 2016 Subaru Outback 3.6 at Van. Bortel's Vince Bovenzi was my salesperson and he was truly professional and through. The Audi had been my car since new but I bought my son's used Infiniti a 2011 G37XS turning over the Audi to my wife. After driving it for two years, she decided she preferred her previous car, a 2006 Outback turbo. She found she missed the storage capacity of her previous Outback as well as its automatic transmission. Vince worked with us starting on a Sunday. He actually gave us a trade-in value from several photos I mailed him as well as an accurate verbal description. We were patient waiting for the new Outback. We ordered a 2015 model in June but received a 2016 in early Sept at no extra cost! My wife loves the car and seems reluctant to allow me to drive it! Kudos to the staff at Van Bortel Subaru. Best dealer experience I ever had. More

Great Experience, Not So With Other Dealers In The Past I have been trying to find odd parts for my 2003 Subaru Baja on line for several weeks and have not had a lot of success. I went to VanBortal Subaru in Victor finally, thinking it would cost a lot more than on line. IT DOES NOT! A very nice gentleman, Chris, from the parts counter introduced himself to me asking what he could help me with. I asked if he had the time for me to point out "on my Baja" what I needed. Not more that 3 seconds later, Chris was standing in front of me asking where I parked my car. He not only took the time to scan and look up my parts, but gave me suggestions on those no longer carried by Subaru. He was greta, the experience has rebuilt confidence in dealers (especially VanBortal, as we have three). Hat off to Chris, his knowledge, expertise, professionalism, and most of all cogenial/friendly demeanor. More

Above & Beyond I called to see if I could get an appointment at the beginning of the week, because I had a long trip coming up, and needed my car fixed quickly. They were booked - but told me to bring it in anyway, as early as possible, and they'd try to fit it in. I showed up just after they opened Monday morning, and despite being very careful not to promise me anything timewise, they kept me updated, and had the problem diagnosed and then fixed, and I was headed home by noon! This was after several repairs, because they looked carefully at everything, and gave me a rundown of "This is your immediate problem - repair costs x; this is a related issue that is not a problem yet but will be in a year, replacement would cost x or cleaning would cost x; here's an unrelated problem we saw along the way, that is not causing you an issue at all right now, but may in the future, and would cost x" and let me choose what I wanted done after making sure I understood each piece approved. Also, the various repairs that I'd approved originally added up to almost $500, which I'd agreed to - but while the repairs were being done, my service representative took it upon himself to do a little research and find a program I qualified for that covered almost all of it. More

Excellent in every way Although I had to wait a bit longer for my Subaru Outback than I thought, I was very pleased with the communication, kindness and understanding of Vin Although I had to wait a bit longer for my Subaru Outback than I thought, I was very pleased with the communication, kindness and understanding of Vince, my salesman. He contacted me even on his day off to address my anxiousness with regard to my lease being up on my car. They far exceeded my expectations in every way! And I love my Subaru! More

Like most buyers, I want a fair deal for my hard earned money and I don't want to haggle back and forth for hours. I felt they exceeded my expectations. Sure I had to wait longer than I wanted for my new 2015 Outback Limited, but I wanted specific options and was told up front that the order would take 2-3 months, which it did and I can say now it was worth the wait.
