Great Experience After looking for a van close to home and not finding what we needed my husband decided to check out some that he had found on the internet. Larry had spoken to Nick Poole several times on the phone and Nick convinced him to come and check out what they had. We decided to take the 1 1/2 hr drive to see the vehicles. When we arrived Nick was right there waiting for us. He was a very pleasant and knowledgeable young man. We took a drive and were sold on the Honda Odyssey. After the paperwork we came home. That was a very good experience but the following is what really impressed us with Valley Honda. About two weeks with the van our passenger sliding door stopped working in a partially open position. We tried everything but couln't get it to work. So on Saturday he drove back to see what could be done. Sam Kim a very personable young man worked to get our van fixed. We did not have a warranty but since it was only ours for a few weeks they went out of their way to make it right. This all happened with the help of a gracious woman named Rose and her manager Don. My Confident & Content Purchase from Nick Theodor I was treated so royally and respectively by every team member at Valley Honda!! I arrived at the amazing Customer Waiting area well maintained by a charming, friendly young lady, merely to await a routine maintenance visit . On a whim, & also having contemplated a trade-in of my 2006 Ridgeline & future purchase. I inquired of my outstanding Asst Service Mgr Mike Gervais if it were possible to get an appraisal for my vehicle. Instantaneoulsy, a very affable Nick Theodor graciously greeted me & proceeded to thoroughly & sincerely guide me through an important decison making process in my life. I not only received a generous trade-in credit for the Ridgeline, but through the expertise of Kurt Gonzalez, Nick helped me negociate a final price for my new (used) vehicle that fell so closely to my budget, I was "SOLD!" No surprise at this point of my experience, James Kirpanos sealed the comfort & ease of completing my transaction with knowledgeable & pleaseant guidance through the paperwork & payment process. This is my sescond vehicle purchase wih Nick Theodor & I have already sang his and his Valley Honda teamates' praises to EVERYONE I know!! Thank you, Nick!!!! More
Our 2012 Honda Civic did not start on the morning of 1/24/14. I cld Jab Rahman, the gentleman we purchased our new car from. Being very concerned and willing to help, he asked just a couple questions 1/24/14. I cld Jab Rahman, the gentleman we purchased our new car from. Being very concerned and willing to help, he asked just a couple questions and then stated that he would send out one of his service men to see if it was the battery. He apologized and said he would be happy to help us out and do whatever it took to have the car working again. The service man, Terry Altman, was to be back to the dealership within 10 minutes and Jab would then send him out immediately. Within minutes Terry was at our home, he jumped the battery and it popped right off. Terry was very nice and so easy to work with. They both were very informative on what we should do now that they jumped the battery and how I should drive it for at least 20 minutes in order for the battery to take the charge in these below zero weather conditions. I was so totally thrilled that it was such an easy process, taking less then 30 minutes for the entire process! Excellent service! And Jab also sent an email shortly after the car was in service again, making sure everything was OK. What amazed me, we bought the car from him 15 months ago. At that time, we lived 100 miles from Aurora, but chose to come to Valley Honda to purchase our vehicle. And, he remembered us! He remembered that we were in town because of a Dr's apt and that we were purchasing a car for our daughter Taylor. He remembered it like it was yesterday! Now that is great customer service. And his email also stated, my job begins after I sell the car! Wow! That is super!! Thank-you Jab and thank-you Terry! You are excellent and Valley Honda should be thrilled that you are both employees of there's. I would highly recommend Valley Honda! More
If you are looking for a "good deal" with no hassle I would not recommend this dealer. We wanted to actually buy a car from this dealer as it was close to our home and if we need service it's co hassle I would not recommend this dealer. Issues we had: The Sales Department - we started shopping for a car, did our research, went and test drove the car, then back again - sales person we first worked with was unavailable, so we worked with another sales rep - who provided us with incorrect facts about the car. We then went back for a third time and at this point were ready to purchase the car, but yet again the two previous sales reps we worked with were unavailable and now we are on our third sales rep and second manager. We discussed price, then asked for an appraisal on our trade in, they came back with an insulting trade in value, as we had gone to CarMax and they were $1800 higher. We told the sales manager this was insulting and wondered if he would consider more for the trade in, at that point he said go to CarMax and get that, you won't get anything higher (we did at Honda of Joliet $2000 higher than their quote). We left and went to Honda of Joliet and purchased our vehicle, although it is now in the shop for an oil leak - we've had the car one week. SERVICE Dept - I brought my car that we've owned for one week to Valley Honda as it is close to our house. Immediately I was told that I didn't purchase the car from them, really? I'm well aware of that. Then he said too bad you didn't see the oil leak before you bought the car. Ok. Long story short I had to "beg" for a loaner - because I didn't purchase the car from that dealer and he told me they had to rip the engine apart to see where the leak was coming from. In summary, take the time to go to a dealer who wants to make a sale and actually will work with you. If you have a trade in - go to car max and get it appraised - they will give you a written quote and it was "free". More
To-day I stopped by at the dealership to check on getting a damaged fender repaired. Nick saw me and greeted with great enthusiasm, when he saw the damaged fender he showed great concern and tried and suc a damaged fender repaired. He then gave the car a complimentary carwash and Lorenzo wiped the car dry. The car is fixed so well and I can not believe that I damaged the fender, it looked very very normal. This is very good example of great service after the sale. I bought the car from Nick almost three years ago and he still remembered me and helped in time of need. Usually salesmen do not even bother to greet after the sale is completed. You at Valley Honda should be proud of Employees like Nick and Lorenzo. My sincere thanks to Nick and Lorenzo who came to my rescue, this morning and made mu day that started very rough. More
I was very impressed that Kurt, the sales manager, took my non-sales related emergency request seriously and provided a timely help. It was an early evening of Friday afternoon, my Honda CRV '08 failed to start miles away from home. I called many places but got slow responses. When I called Valley Honday, Kurt told me that the service department was closed, but he can offer me a loaner as long as I can manage to get there and he will ask mechanics to check my car the first thing next morning. This is a big relief to me at the time I was very upset about the trouble. After I arrived Valley Honday, I noticed that sales people were busy closing the deals for the day, however, Kurt still completed all the paper work quickly and give me the key of Honda Accord loaner so my family can head home soon. Early next morning, Mike from the service department called and told me nothing wrong with my car, hence, no charge. I really apprecieate such a good customer service and business ethics. I wasn't at the time to purchase a car but still was treated like a valued customer. When there is nothing wrong with my car, they just give me an honest call and thank me for the business. I highly recommend this dealership. I'm sure I will consider to buy my next car at Valley Honda. More
I live on the far South side of Chicago, Illinois, but I travel to Valley Honda in Naperville/Aurora to get service on my Honda Accord. My husband wanted to wait at the dealer as oppose to going to the mall. Well, while waiting, I decided to look at the cars. I ran into Joe Barsalona and asked him some questions about their cars. He was soooo helpful, not pushy, just a very kind guy. I went there for brakes on my Accord, but with Joe's help, I left there with Honda's CR-V, SUV. He went over every detail about the Honda CR-V. He even helped with some of the programming. I was extremely pleased with his services. I received a followup call from him the very next working day to see how my new ride was doing and was told that I could contact him anytime if I have any questions. My overall experience with Valley Honda in Naperville/Aurora was fantastic. I would recommend them to all of my friends. I know the next time, my husband will choose to go to the mall. LOL. More
