Predatory Body Shop Partners The quick summary - I believed I could trust BMW and this trust was passed to the body shop the dealer sent my car for repair. BIG MISTAKE. The shop The quick summary - I believed I could trust BMW and this trust was passed to the body shop the dealer sent my car for repair. BIG MISTAKE. The shop was a delight to work with until my car was determined a total-loss. After discussing with my attorney, I am filing a complaint to the board for several violations including: 1. Charging unauthorized fake or inflated fees (they say I gave authorization on the phone but NO charges were discussed) which my insurance will only pay a very small portion of given they are "just a tactic to get paid since they will not be doing repairs 2. Charging a 'storage fee' for the days BEFORE the car was found to be a total-loss. (They are not a storage yard and charging 'storage' while they are still working on the car isn't legal. 3. Refusing to give an itemized account of charges 4. Charging towing without authorization from me (I wasn't even aware) While everyone at BMW has always been nice to work with, I would go out of my way to avoid a business which passes their customers to such predatory and illegal practices. An accident, especially a serious one, is stressful (at best). When my insurance wanted me to use their body shop I was insistent my brand new X2 went to BMW. In the end, my attorney tells me I would have been better off with the other shop. More
2-Terrible Experiances Get a call that car is ready to be picked up. Drive over and check in. Car will be "bought up immediately" Wait 1-hour. Have to go find service ad Get a call that car is ready to be picked up. Drive over and check in. Car will be "bought up immediately" Wait 1-hour. Have to go find service adviser. He finds car - no one went to get it. Has diesel fluid all over back of car, wheel, and tire that technician spilled on car. They have to take car back and clean it. Another 20-minutes. Took 1 1/2 hours to pick up car that was ready for pick up. 2nd service call. Air conditioning stopped working. Had an appointment and a loaner car arranged. Go to service station - adviser is chatting with a friend about personal issues at her desk. A man walks in and sees someone immediately but my adviser is still chatting with friends 20-minutes later. I ask person at front desk what is going on here. she asks one of two service advisers sitting at desk having coffee and chatting with each other to help me. He says is will be several minutes as he has some work to do on computer but then continues to enjoy his coffee and chat with other service. I leave after being there 30-minutes and I had an appointment. This place SUCKS. More
Nightmare of a lease return Something as simple as a lease return has become a time consuming effort on my part because Valencia BMW did not document the return of my lease and I Something as simple as a lease return has become a time consuming effort on my part because Valencia BMW did not document the return of my lease and I started receiving bills for excess mileage and keeping the vehicle for three weeks over the lease return date. None of which is so. I returned my vehicle one day before my end of lease date, as well as under the mileage lease allowance. I took the time to go into the dealership and one of the sales managers said he would give my paperwork to Polo Lopez who would contact me. He never called, I had to call him and furthermore, he did not correct the problem. I had to call BMW Financial Services and fax the paperwork to them. I have leased many vehicles from BMW as well as Lexus for my company and never experienced such crappy service, from the return to the follow up. Maybe someone can tell me who used the vehicle for 3 weeks after the lease was returned and put almost 800 miles on it. More
Lousy customer service, Technician are clueless I would of gave a zero star if that was an option. After spending $700 for an oil change and my A/C blowing warm air, they didnt fix the problem. TERRIBLE SERVICE HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE SERVICE! First off the 2 receptionist working the front desk are not only rude but mildly condescending, their manager probably HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE SERVICE! First off the 2 receptionist working the front desk are not only rude but mildly condescending, their manager probably needs to sit down with them and let them know that they are in the customer service field and they should treat customers their customer accordingly. I got there at my scheduled appointment time 8:30am, the lady in front of me was a walk-in and was helped before I was, the receptionist then lied to my face and said she had been waiting for 2 hours when the reality is that we both arrived at the same time and signed the same sheet. I let it slide because I didn't want to make a big deal about it. Long and short the whole transaction for service was 3 hours because they "didn't have any loaners" but for other customer they had loaners, apparently just not for me. I think the receptionist or director just simply didn't want to issue me a loaner on purpose so they sent me to Enterprise which was another 1hr wait because they only had a range rover evoque (which I would have had to come out of pocket $100p/d) so I had to wait until a car that fit the $35 a day criteria was available. Enterprise suggested that I call BMW to see if they maybe had a loaner come in, so I called and spoke with the service director Andy and he apologized for the inconvenience and promised to call me back within 10 minutes. literally 2 hours later I get a call back from Robert asking what he could help me with. By that time enterprise had put me in a RAM 1500 HEMI which completely sucks because I work in West LA and parking is A NIGHTMARE. This is the second bad experience I've had with Valencia BMW service center, I hate to be that whiny client but for simple routine maintenance and a check up on some electrical issues the car is having I shouldn't have gone through this nightmare. Please don't trust this dealer. For a BMW go to Calabasas. I have had nothing but dishonest service people and sales staff to contend with during my nearly three years spending my time and money here. An M6 pu I have had nothing but dishonest service people and sales staff to contend with during my nearly three years spending my time and money here. An M6 purchase and 328i lease later I've decided not to go back. It simply isn't worth it. I can get what I need done (mostly honoring tire and wheel protection since the tires and wheels fail often. Look up BMW class action law suite on faulty wheels) but not without a lengthy fight and getting the management and corporate involved nearly every single time. From the moment you walk into the service department you will be standing there waiting and ignored. I can name a list of names but it would seem that since everyone does it it must be policy for some strange reason- to be inconsiderate and dishonest. More
Poor mechanical service for repairs. Never resolved issue! My review is based on the quality of work as severely questionable. I will begin my story as to why. I bought a car that I always wanted, a 2012 33 My review is based on the quality of work as severely questionable. I will begin my story as to why. I bought a car that I always wanted, a 2012 335i. Bought from RUSNAK in Thousand Oaks. Had a great experience and the treatment was awesome. I decided immediately afterwards to register the car for its service location to Valencia BMW for its adjacency to my work place. Bad mistake. Had an issue with the car on a small oil leak. Brought it in and they confirmed and repaired the leak. Got the car back with a broken turbo charge pipe. Got the car back from the broken charge pipe, immediately noticed loud screeching from serpentine Got car back from serpentine issue, issue was still sounding off. Sounding loud and increase with revs. Got it back another time. Now weeks later I have oil on my floor of my garage. Got it back again. things seem fine. Couple days later the sounds begin from the front. screeching again. Get it back yet another time and notice the turbo charge pipe not installed correctly, oil spilled on the engine cover, and various things like cable management not connected correctly. Every step of the way I am cordial and not upset or out of sorts. At the last and final time I visit with the incorrectly installed charge pipe I was not able to contain myself. The blatant lack of pride in workmanship is embarrassing to witness and I cannot attribute the results of that handover to customer to anything but a welcome to this review. I plan on never setting foot in the place. Originally I thought it was "new BMW owner teething" but I am 5 visits and two visits are actually because they didn't pass my own mechanical inspection. Pathetic to leave fasteners undone, and things broken in plain view. In one case of the turbo charge pipe there is clear indicator of silicone adhesive attempt. I cant say it was them, but I know I purchased this with the turbo charge pipe in working order and I do not conduct repairs on this vehicle since it is CPO with full warranty. On every step of the way within hours or minutes even, I have taken photos and videos eyewitness of all the issues. I have every service record scanned as well. I plan on voicing this to the public as much as possible in the effort to keep future customers from falling victim to these practices. I hope if anything I can save the next guy from such heartache. My next course of action is to connect with Thousand Oaks RUSNAK and have their service dept conduct a full check on all the "repairs" made. I bought this car to be a reliable performance car, in order to get this I will need the confidence back! First review was removed by administrators because I linked my proof pictures and videos to the review. I would be HAPPY to share with anyone that wants to look me up from this site the dealer or any public wanting to avoid this kind of service. More

Vanessa Palacio, the service manager, was professional and helped take care of the problem. She even called around to find a comparable size vehicle to our X5. When none in the area were available, she suggested we try to fit our stuff in an X1 (which did fit) and off we were. Overall, one of the best service department experiences we've ever had. Just another reason we are loyal BMW customers! More
Not bad service but DANGEROUS practices! BEWARE! I am a decorated 6 year US Army Veteran and I know cars and business. I have seen consistent dangerous activity here. For instance, a car broken down I am a decorated 6 year US Army Veteran and I know cars and business. I have seen consistent dangerous activity here. For instance, a car broken down in at intersection and a technician too busy texting to pay attention to the cars he was putting in harms way. I offered help as I was bringing a friend's car in for service and he told me to F-off. I have a bad back...I would have hurt it to help prevent an accident. I brought my friend's car in for a damaged tire and 3 days later they had me come and pick it up. I drove away only to notice the car had been driven (the radio was on and the sunroof was open unlike I left it) and there was a loud noise coming from one of the wheels. I got out and noticed a huge gash in a different tire sidewall! When I confronted Robert (not Bob) he told me they don't repair things that were not complained about...but he had repaired a mysterious check engine light that was not complained about...do you see where this is going?? He did not know that someone nicked the tire and was backpedaling. Vanessa, the service manager, did not want to help me resolve my issues and even told me the manager was busy when I first asked to speak with one...only to find out she's in charge. No follow ups. It goes on and on. The tire is being fixed after a heated argument...if my female friend picked up the car she would be driving a hazard!! Please let that sink in!! How often does this go unnoticed? PS. The management know's I'm a service connected Veteran and they don't care! I don't show my ID often but after the the broken down car issue I felt the need to go all out. More
