Appreciate your service department but it was a bit disheartening. Otherwise, it was a positive experience. More
Go anywhere else! Bought a used car here and had major brake issues the night I drove it home. Called the sales person (Chad Uftring) right away and he said bring it in Bought a used car here and had major brake issues the night I drove it home. Called the sales person (Chad Uftring) right away and he said bring it in we will look at it. Brought it back on Saturday morning, they spend 3 hours looking at it and said it was fixed. Thinking great these things happen whatever they made good. I get in it and immediately notice it smells like pizza inside. Drove it maybe 10 miles to get outside of town to get up to 55mph and coasted as slow as I could go and pulled into a parking lot using the brakes as little as possible. Felt the lug nuts and passenger side was good drivers side still burnt my hand. Took it back kind of pissed off because I know they tested it by driving it 35mph less than 1/2 mile away from the dealership to pizza hut. Met with Pat again and said you didn't fix it. She claims they test drove it and everything was fine, i informed her driving it less than 1/2 a mile isnt a test and to look at it again. I left as i didn thave all day to sit there. I get a call conveniently 5 minutes after they close at noon saying well you need $272 worth of brake work. I told her I will be back Monday to pick up my check and my old car and they can take this one back due to IL state law regarding contracts. Another guy called me monday and said they replaced the parts and wont cost me a dime, he apologized and i went on my way - parking brake did not work as well but didnt want to deal with Uftring again. never again, i cant give them 0 stars! this dealership handled my SAAB since our family bought it in 2006. always expensive, but never thought they were dishonest until now. had an incident this dealership handled my SAAB since our family bought it in 2006. always expensive, but never thought they were dishonest until now. had an incident where the battery was low and had to jump. the off the idle and ran extremely rough. took it in and was told the idle controller (forget the name) was either faulty or needed reset. I believed them and $400 for a new one. however, I was also told the battery needed replaced and needed disc brake pads all around. funny thing is they replaced the battery two years ago and when I told them they indicated that they needed to "check it again" and low and behold, the battery was fine. also. the rear brakes had been replaced rotor and all inside of a year ago. so they tried to sell me on $1,100 of work that didn't need done. imagine a little old lady getting screwed like that? I'm not done telling everyone what I think! talked to a manager and got no response! More
service and collision repair This was an awful experience. I was lied to so many times, I assume so they could have the business, but I'm not sure the reason. They lied when I fir This was an awful experience. I was lied to so many times, I assume so they could have the business, but I'm not sure the reason. They lied when I first called and told me that they would look at the car the next day and give me a call. This did not happen and 2 more phone calls and 2 days later they looked at my car and gave me an estimate. Told me it would take 2 weeks but this was also not the case. I finally called them after they had my car for 3 weeks and they were confused on the phone and put me on hold several times and then came on and said they had just finished cleaning it last night and it was ready. This was also a lie because I had went by the place the night before and my car was setting outside the place and had snow still on the windshield. It hadnt snowed in 2 days so I know it had been sitting there that long. They had called while they had it and told me that I needed brakes so I asked for an amount and told them to go ahead. When I picked up the car they told me I needed brakes. I told them I had told them to do that when they called. Well they did the front brakes but not the back ones and that was the price they quoted me which was also not what they charged me. So I still need back brakes I guess. I truly dont think they could speak the truth if they were paid extra to do so. More

$115 for an OIL CHANGE on a car is stealing!. I went in for my first oil change out of warranty on my Chevy Cruze and my experience was absolutely ridiculous. While scheduling my oil change on t I went in for my first oil change out of warranty on my Chevy Cruze and my experience was absolutely ridiculous. While scheduling my oil change on the phone prior to the appointment, I specifically asked how much it would cost, I also let the service tech know it is a diesel Cruze to see if that mattered. The service worker did not know exactly how much it would cost, but without tire rotation she estimated around $50.00. I made an appointment and took my car in on a Friday morning for the basic oil change, without tire rotation. I noticed when I got there the waiting room was rather busy. I waited a total of 2 HOURS to get my oil changed in my car, and everyone that got there after me had already left. I was handed my total bill and I was charged $115.57 for an oil change, without tire rotation, or any problems detected! Mind you, this was also AFTER a $10.00 discount since it took them so long; needless to say, I was livid. I went home and examined my bill, and noticed that they charged me twice for oil in my car, so this invoice was clearly not checked before so easily handing it over to me. I drove back in there and they did credit me back $20.00 for the oil they double charged me for, so my total billed ended up at $95.00, which I am still very unsatisfied about. The service worker did say it was quite an expensive oil change when she initially handed me the invoice, but she clearly did not bother to examine the bill, or she would have caught the double charge. I realize my car is a diesel, however it STILL takes 5 quarts of oil like any other car, so I do not see how this could possibly be so expensive. My husband drives a diesel F350, and this is how much his oil change would cost for 13 quarts of oil, not 5. I realize that when I got there I also asked the service tech to refill the DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) in my car, which she did not quote me a price on, (which to be polite, the service techs should ALWAYS let the customer know what each additional add-on expensive will be). When I got my bill, I realized the DEF was $20.00 to top off, so that was partially a reason for the added expense, but still, a basic oil change should not be this expensive on a car. I spent my entire morning off at the dealership and walked away feeling like I was taken advantage of. Between the long wait time, being double charged for oil, and being charged more than what I was initially quoted; I am extremely disappointed with Uftring Dealership in Washington, IL and I will not return back to your dealership for an oil change again. Every time I have gone to this dealership for oil change and/or service, they are are always pushing me to leave a review, so here you go... More
