Car discussed: 2019 Chevrolet Traverse, 53,000 miles, listed as $17,100. Listed price plus TTL on website: $18,300. Salesman: Emilio Ortiz Manager: Kayla Original walk-put price offered by Em listed as $17,100. Listed price plus TTL on website: $18,300. Salesman: Emilio Ortiz Manager: Kayla Original walk-put price offered by Emilio: $20,400.00 Second: $19,500 Third: $19,200 From the price listed on the website to the initial offer provided, that's a $2,000 difference, mainly due to a "prep. fee." I would have been more than willing to pay more reasonable fees that were arbitrarily added to the final price. I would have likely been willing to pay $700 more than the offer advertised because of how much I liked the vehicle. Although, an additional $2,000 more than what's listed as full final price on the website is 1. Unreasonable, 2. Illegal. The sales associate listed above catching an attitude and tearing up the papers wasn't illegal but it was unprofessional. Evidence of illegal advertising and dishonest sales tactics: "This could potentially expose you to regulatory scrutiny for advertising violations. Texas 43 TAC 215.246 states that “advertisements shall be accurate, clear, and conspicuous. Advertisements shall not be false, deceptive, or misleading. For an internet advertisement, a disclosure may be considered accurate, clear, and conspicuous.” At the end of the day be careful about charging additional fees to get the car ready to sell that you cannot clearly document, explain, or account for or allow to be removed at the request of the customer." https://www.txiada.org/blog_home.asp?display=243 If there's any attorneys interested in taking on a case regarding false advertising or unfair sales practices, feel free to contact me, (409) 407-4923. I'd love to work with you. More

So please be sure i had everything before making any deals, plus im going to report this to the BBB and the court after i fix it my self. More
Dealer hides fees and does not disclose them until you agree to purchase. Price listed on the web site has no asterisk nor does it say anything about dealer fee of $995.00. The sale offer will say it is agree to purchase. Price listed on the web site has no asterisk nor does it say anything about dealer fee of $995.00. The sale offer will say it is a warranty fee, but salespeople will say recondition fee. Either way, it is a fake fee that they tack on. They will tell you EVERY dealer does it. That is not so. Called to have the fee removed and at the very least, explained better to me. The female sales manager was rude and failed to properly explain it to my understanding. Beware folks, bait and switch. This so-called warranty, recondition fee or whatever they call it, should be posted and advertised so the customer if well aware of it upfront. More
