Last month, my daughter bought a Hyundai Kona from Twin Pine. She drove it home and went to a local Whole Foods to charge it. It died there. She drove it for ONE DAY. Had it towed to a local Hyundai de Pine. She drove it home and went to a local Whole Foods to charge it. It died there. She drove it for ONE DAY. Had it towed to a local Hyundai dealer and there was a recall on the battery on ALL Hyundai Konas. Twin Pine said it had been repaired and there were no active recalls on the vehicle. It had not and there was. Because there are so many Konas awaiting repair nationwide, it could take up a year to get the repair. So to summarize just bought a car from Twin Pine, DECEIVED at point of sale into believing repairs were performed that were not, car broke down after ONE DAY, am still making payments, MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DRIVE MY CAR FOR A YEAR. However to get the under $25,000 price you are required to buy a $4,000 service contract. If you don't buy the service contract the price of the car goes above $29,000. So in effect it's a scheme to sell service contracts. Do business here at your own risk! More
