Larry, Lexus/Toyota recommends replacing the brake fluid every 3 years. Unfortunately, serivce history access is limited to Toyota's records only, therefore we were unable to see that a fluid exchange was recently completed by a Lexus dealer. I do not use your dealership for all my service items. I am sure that the trained mechanic could easily see that my brake fluid was clean and clear. I felt that this was another example by the dealership to gin up service when service was not needed. He also recommended new coolant which was change 6 months ago and was clearly not needed. Just because you don't have a record of service at your dealership is not a valid reason to gin up service when clearly not needed. I often use an independent for some servicing. because These are 2 examples why I do not always use your dealership or trust you when you recommend serving when clearly none was needed.
