I purchased a brand-new 2025 Kia K4 from Turner Kia on July 5, 2025. I later discovered that a Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) totaling $3,200 was added to my loan without my knowledge or consent. I do not July 5, 2025. I later discovered that a Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) totaling $3,200 was added to my loan without my knowledge or consent. I do not purchase warranties for any products, and at no time did I agree to purchase one for this vehicle. No one explained what a VSC was to me, and I was never provided a copy of any warranty contract — neither in person nor by email. I only discovered this charge months later during refinancing, which is unacceptable. When I contacted the dealership and requested a copy of the VSC containing my electronic signature, the finance manager refused to provide it, claiming that “privacy policies” prevented him from releasing it — despite the fact that it is allegedly my own contract. I was also never provided electronic copies of the documents I signed at the time of purchase. My two adult sons were present during the transaction and can confirm that no warranty was discussed or authorized. One of my sons was also on the vehicle to help build his credit, and he only received a bill of sale — no warranty paperwork. When I inquired whether the finance office had cameras, dealership management became defensive and claimed that they “specifically remembered” the transaction, to which I responded that we remember it clearly as well — and no warranty was discussed. On December 3rd, I contacted another manager to explain the situation and was laughed at. After disconnecting the call, both managers texted me what they referred to as a “contract,” which was in fact only a preliminary dealership worksheet used for credit review, not a valid service contract. Based on these facts, I strongly believe my electronic signature was applied to this Vehicle Service Contract without my authorization. More
I had a terrible experience for a warranty repair performed at Turner Kia. I was experiencing a vibration at certain highway speeds, and spent considerable time diagnosing the issue before taking it performed at Turner Kia. I was experiencing a vibration at certain highway speeds, and spent considerable time diagnosing the issue before taking it to KIA for a warranty repair. When setting up my appointment, I explained the steps that I had taken to isolate the issue. I specifically mentioned that I had check all of my hubs and rotors, and found them to be under .001 inch of runout and thickness deviation. I found that my drivers side CV axle has excessive play in the wheel side joint. Despite this information, April insisted that my rotors were “shot, super warped” and that they would need to be replaced prior to any further diagnostics could be performed. After disagreeing with this assessment, and speaking to the tech with specific instructions on how to replicate my issue, it was determined that I needed a new CV axle (go figure). When I came back for the repair, I asked about an alignment being performed, because suspension components had to be disconnected to perform the repair. I was told by April that alignments are not covered under warranty. I told them that I would like an alignment check performed anyway. While in the waiting room, I pulled up Kia’s warranty information. The warranty specifically states that alignments are not covered, UNLESS recommended as part of a covered warranty repair. I then pulled up the dealer service manual, and confirmed that a CV Axle replacement DOES call for an alignment check. I was prepared to present this information to the service desk when I returned, however April told me that an alignment check had been performed, and that there were no issues. I asked for the printout, and she stated that they do not provide printouts. The information was instead displayed on a television screen. When I asked why the screen showed that a comprehensive alignment was recommended, April told me “you’re good, your numbers are all green.” The numbers she was referring to were tread depth measurements. I wasn’t going to argue, because I knew that I was not going to get an honest answer out of April. I took my vehicle to another service shop, who confirmed that my alignment was indeed out of spec. Significantly on the wheel attached to the new CV axle. Since then, I have been contacting Turner Kia multiple times a week for an explanation on why I was told my alignment was good, and for reimbursement for what I paid for an alignment. At one point I spoke to the service manager who confirmed that the alignment check DID show that my vehicle was out of alignment. April lied so that she would not have to argue warranty coverage for the alignment. Since then, management continues to ignore my attempts at contact. I’ve emailed Tim Mullen, Service Manager, and Mike Johnson, General Manager to explain my experience and ask what can be done to remedy the issue (I was lied to about the rotors AND the alignment, and I paid for a service that should have been covered under warranty). As expected, I have received no response to my email. I am absolutely disgusted with the lack of professionalism displayed by the service desk associate (April) and management. I’ve purchased 3 brand new vehicles from this dealership over the last 5 years, and this is the first time I have needed any warranty repairs. When I purchase my next Kia this summer, it will NOT be from Turner Kia. They have lost a loyal and repeat customer, over a $110 reimbursement request. I do not recommend that anybody purchase a vehicle from this dealership. They are happy to sell you a vehicle, but apparently not to provide the advertised warranty service the so proudly tout as the best in the business. More
