I have generally had good experiences dealing with the service department here, but this was about the worst experience I've ever had. I was originally told that my appointment would be over within two h service department here, but this was about the worst experience I've ever had. I was originally told that my appointment would be over within two hours. After an hour and 50 minutes, a young lady came out and told me there was a problem with the brakes wearing unevenly and recommended that I have them taken care of. I asked her how long it would take to get them fixed and she said about an hour an a quarter. Up to that point, I can't fault anything the dealership did. I told the young lady that I did want to have the service performed, but I wanted to call my wife first and see if that would be all right with her, because I had previously told her I would be home by noon or shortly thereafter, and I wanted to let her know that I would be later than that. After I called my wife and told her I might not be able to leave the dealership until about 12:45, the young lady came back and said there was another problem - the parts necessary to repair the brakes were not in stock and it would take about an hour to get them. So I figured she was telling me that in order to get the work done today, it would take two and a quarter hours - an hour to go get the parts and then another hour and a quarter to do the work. I told her that I did want to have the work done; however, under the circumstances, I did not want to have the work done today, but would schedule another appointment to come back and have the work done. I asked her to just finish up as quickly as possible so that I could go home. I then waited an hour and a half, without receiving any sort of update, before going back into the service area and asking if someone could tell me what was going on with the car. A young man went back and checked, and told me that the technician said he would have the brakes all fixed in another 20 to 30 minutes. This was the first indication I had had that the service department had decided to go ahead and do the brake work, despite my request NOT to have the brakes worked on today. But I figured that if they had started the work, there wasn't much sense in asking them to discontinue it at that point, and if it would be done in another 20 to 30 minutes, that wouldn't be too bad. I went back to the waiting room and waited for more than another hour, still without receiving any further updates, then went back into the service area, where a blonde lady (not the young one I'd dealt with earlier), went back to check and reported that the technician was just finishing up and my car would be ready as soon as the paperwork was done. After another 10 or 15 minutes, everything was finally ready about 2:15. In view of the length of time I had to wait, Nate (the only employee whose name I caught), gave me a $40 discount, which was a little bit of consolation to me, but I was still quite upset that work was done today despite my instructions that I wanted to come back and have it done another day, and that I was kept in the dark for such a long time after I had expected everything to be completed. I was going to look at a truck and walked out with a gorgeous silverado. Greg Becker was the best to deal with, all the people at Turner was So Nice and just worked with me on Everything!! Thomas was a GREAT help he listened to what I wanted & needed and him & Ashley made it happened even got my payments lowered to what I could afford & got my car on 12/23/22 before Christmas.
