The following day (April Fools day, no less) I called the Subaru service department to ask about a battery replacement. Justin Smith was the service rep who assisted me. He saw that the car was just one day out of warranty, and realized the irony of the situation. Although the service request was past the warranty period, meaning that technically labor and parts were no longer covered, Justin provided a new battery at no cost. I consider this excellent customer relations, above and beyond my expectations, and he should be acknowledged for making an intelligent executive decision. He certainly made my day!
