Quick and courteous! I called to talk to the service department about my car and what it was doing. David answered and told me what he thought it might be, but he was care I called to talk to the service department about my car and what it was doing. David answered and told me what he thought it might be, but he was careful to make sure to tell me that if it was what he thought it was, it would be covered by my warranty, but if it wasn't, there would be a service charge. He talked me through the process and when I brought my car in, he was the one to receive me and reminded me of what Ford was going to do. Thank you for making sure to cover your butt, and mine! haha. Once I gave my car to Ford, I was directed to the on-site Hertz rental center where I was quoted what I'd be paying if the warranty didn't cover what was wrong, and reassured that my rental would be covered if the warranty DID cover it. I drove away in a Ford Escape, and I gotta say, I didn't want to give it back. My Fiesta is cute and does what it needs to get me around, but man that Escape seat cradled my spine like a baby. All too soon, David called to let me know the diagnostics were positive for the warranty, giving me great news that everything was covered and on its way to being repaired. This was especially nice because I had to take my car in on my birthday, so good news was really nice to have on that day. They fixed my car and called me the next morning(too soon!!! I wanted that Escape longer!!!), and I was able to pick it up. It's running just lovely, now, but in the future, I'm going to be returning to trade my car in for an Escape or something similar. Thanks for your quick and courteous service guys! I'll be back! More
Great service Had a problem with my battery dying. Brought it to Tropical because that’s where I bought the battery 2-1/2 years ago. They replaced the battery a Had a problem with my battery dying. Brought it to Tropical because that’s where I bought the battery 2-1/2 years ago. They replaced the battery at no charge because it was under a 3year warranty which made the slightly higher price well worth it. Also they did the recall for carbon monoxide without my asking. Because I came in without an appointment, I thought I would have to come back for that. Thank you for the great setvice. More

Very poor customer service Went to dealer for problem with my sunroof. Service department said the rubber gasket needed to be replaced. Elsie Martinez opened the sunroof and saw that the rubber was frayed. I agreed to had it replaced. I gave Tropical Ford the $505 for the repair. I tried it for the first time 3 days later and it opened but would not close. I brought it back to the service department and told them it would no longer close. Elsie offered me a rental car free of charge because she thought our extended warranty covered it. Late in afternoon Elsie called me an said the motor was broken, however she saw and witnessed that the roof opened and closed on my first visit there. I am confident that during the gasket installation , one of the service people broke the motor and would not own up to it. They would replace it for a mere $2750.00. I called the Ford Corporate offices and asked for help. The regional manager Mike Obanion called me and told me he spoken to the service department at Tropical Ford. They said the work was not under warranty but offered me $800 off of the $2750.00. I wasn't questioning the warranty, I was appalled that they weren't owning up to faulty workmanship and refusing to admit that they broke the motor. I mentioned to Mr. Obanion that Mr. Stewart told that the sunroofs were a piece of junk and should not be used. Mr. Obanion was okay with that, as he said that was freedom of speech. TOTALLY disgusted Tropical Ford's Service Department and the employees I dealt with............NEVER will I recommend Tropical Ford. More
Worst service I took a Ford Transit to fix the rear A/C. Before taking to Ford I took it to Pep Boys twice they could not figure it out what was wrong, I took to F I took a Ford Transit to fix the rear A/C. Before taking to Ford I took it to Pep Boys twice they could not figure it out what was wrong, I took to Ford expecting it to be fixed, they said that the evaporator needed to be replaced with some other stuff, well $1,500.00 later I picked up the van and had the same issue the A/c would turn on and off. Ford finally fixed the issue. I later spoke to the mechanics at Pep Boys and they said what Ford changed did not have anything to do with the issue, they had checked all that. Last time I take to Tropical Ford. This is the 2nd time I take a vehicle there in 6 moths and I am charged for work done and the vehicle comes out with the same issue it was taken to get fixed; previously was an electrical on a Ford E350 Econoline. Tropical Ford offers some of the worse customer service poss Starting with the Service Manager, Gaylon Stewart this place doesn't know how to communicate within their team and even worse the customers. I dropped Starting with the Service Manager, Gaylon Stewart this place doesn't know how to communicate within their team and even worse the customers. I dropped off my car on Thursday afternoon. They called me the next day Friday stating my vehicle was repaired and to pick it up. I doubted this was true so called Gaylon and he also stated it was repaired. I drove to Tropical Ford just to find out the technician misdiagnosed the issue and DID NOT repair my vehicle. Everyone there seems like they just don't care about a customer. I had to leave my vehicle for two weeks more for the correct repair and then when I picked it up I noticed the technician had not put my wheel locks on my wheels. Not really surprised. Also when I checked under the hood none of the fluids had been filled and I wasnt even informed that my coolant was low and windshield washer fluid was also low. The service at Tropical Ford is pathetic at best. Fair warning to anyone looking to buy a car. DO NOT GO TO TROPICAL FORD!!! More
It took an hour and 15 minutes to for an oil change. Because I purchased my car there they give free oil changes for 2 years. However, be prepared to wait for an hour and a half. Wasn’t that busy, monito Because I purchased my car there they give free oil changes for 2 years. However, be prepared to wait for an hour and a half. Wasn’t that busy, monitors in the lounge show them working on your car. It sat there untouched for 20 minutes. It wasn’t that busy and I just feel an oil change should never take that long More
