I purchased a 2012 Ford Escape from Devon/Tropical Ford. I have always received excellent service from Devon. I do not feel pressured and feel he truly cares about finding a car that meets my needs and desires. He is always faithful about following up with me after the car purchase to make sure everything is going okay. If I ever have any concerns about my car, I would not hesitate to take it in to the Servicing dept. I have used them with my previous cars and am pleased with their service. More
If you visit this dealer ask for Terry Bailey. He went above and beyond for me. He located the SUV I wanted at another location and got it for me right away. came to dealership knowing exactly what i wanted. They didnt have any on the lot. Instead of trying to sale me on something they did have they contacted another dealership. My initial introduction was a bunch of salesmen standing around shooting the breeze. I had to ask if a salesman was available to help me. I told a salesman what I was looking for(I'm not sure he understood me-he barely spoke English)and he told me he didn't know if they had what I wanted and would just have to settle for what they had on the lot. Then he headed for the F150s which were at the opposite end of the dealership form the F250s, which is what I wanted. Before I got to my car, another salesman got my attention and showed me the trucks I wanted to see and then pawned me off to another inept salesman. Eventually, I ordered a truck. That was 2Feb2011, today is 5May2011 and because of a comedy of errors, I won't get the truck for another 6 to 8 weeks. I just called Ford Customer relationship center and was told they couldn't help me, that they would have to forward my grievence to someone who might call me next week. I won't bother this dealership with my business again and I'm not really happy with Ford motors, either. More
Awful place. Tropical Ford is stuck in the stone ages. They have xxxx poor customer service, no loaner cars, and a bunch of uneducated drop outs working for them . What a joke, they have no clue what is even going on in their own store and walk around like they are the most important people in the world. The ownder wont even talk to you, parks his car in the middle of the service drive blocking me from being able to pull out and leave. I wont be back for service, and I sure as heck wont buy another car from them. Ford...how have you not yanked Tropical's franchise from them yet? More
Buying experience was horrendous , car needed body repairs and they weren't done till 6 hours before picking it up. Paint was still tacky! payoff was sent late to toyota so it accumulated more intere repairs and they weren't done till 6 hours before picking it up. Refund for payments we already made to toyota were held back, had to withhold signing title to old car and mailing it back till they issued a check. Owner Wanye Massey was no help, always unavailable or at lunch. Had tyo corner him in showroom when he came in from lunch. We should have known he was low class too, when we saw he carried a folding knife prominently displayed in his rear pocket. What executive do you know resorts to this type of gutter mentality in his own showroom. After 2 to 3 weeks of back and forth bickering with them they conceded and issued a refund. Employees are snotty and once they have your cash you are scre**d. Calling Ford was a waste too they dont care as all dealers are independent. Stay away from this dealer at all costs. More
Save yourself time, go to another dealership. I went to look at a Taurus and a fusion, just wanted to get some information to show my wife. I specifically told the sales associate that I would not buy for a few months simply because I was working out a few financial items. But he continued to push to "save me 50% today!" Then when I got annoyed and just wanted to take a brochure home, he brings the manager out and he starts to interrogate me thinking I'm a secret shopper! I will not be buying my next car from here. i took my 2000 ford escape there for an oil change. this place, as far as service, is rotten. they came back with some old dirty tranny fluid on a piece of dirty paper and said my tranny oil had to be repl place, as far as service, is rotten. they came back with some old dirty tranny fluid on a piece of dirty paper and said my tranny oil had to be replaced. besides trying to tell me everything they could add on to the ticket need to be done.when i'm not some young girl who doesn't know anything about cars. plus i had it replaced by the dealer i bought it from only 4000 miles before that. so i demanded the guy go back with me and pull another sample from my escape while i watched, which he refused to do. he fought with me for awhile and said the other dealer ripped me off, etc. i said well let's call the other dealer and get that service manager on the phone and you can tell him he ripped me off and didn't change the fluid he charged me for. well of course he refused. so i left. when i got home i checked it and it was fine and not brown and filled with metal shavings, and filth, etc. like the sample he showed me at tropical. beware when having service done at this place. don't just take their word for it...make them prove it.
